Ona,
YEAH I am so happy that you got to talk to feed store guy! Or maybe we should start calling him Jeremy? Now that you know his name! And even if he is jail bait. A little flirting is never a bad thing! Teri- I know the morning sickness must really suck right now. Keep some saltine crackers by your bed and try nibbing some first thing in the morning..before even sitting up. This always helped the moms to be when I worked Antepartum. As crazy as this may sound you should be very excited about the morning sickness, its a sign of good implantation and a healthy pregnancy!! ![]()

Teri, ditto what Kathryn said... so I was tryin to figure out from your signature... this was just your second try right?
I'm a bit older than you but I am hoping I can have some beginners luck. *sigh* still feeming over Jeremy here... Still no AF. My friend (future godmommy) laughed and said the same thing you all did about waiting for AF... this is going to be the only time in my life where I actually WANT AF to come. LOL!

Wow!
Happy Monday Ladies! I made the mistake of not reading from the last time I checked in... Apparently I missed a bunch of activity over the weekend. I hope that we did not lose any fertility friends over differing opinions. This thread was started with the intention of being supportive and encouraging. Of course, 99.9% of the time that is what anybody would see posted... I do feel left out by the main ff.com community! I get the feeling we do not have a moderator! I have read in other threads much less confrontative comments and a moderator steps in! It is encouraging to know that we are able to work things out and once again support one another even when our opinions differ.
Teri: your BFP sticks are the bomb! i absolutely love them! congrats to you on your pregnancy. you give me hope, and i am sure the other ladies are inspired as well. i look forward to reading your posts for the next 9 months! please do not leave this thread!!! we need your updates and kathryns updates, etc.. Ona: i love reading your play by play of the cute guy! exciting stuff. IF you ever get a pic of him, please post. he sounds dreamy (for lack of a better word, and i have always wanted to use that one) hairy eyeball! LOVE IT. i will use it next time someone gives me the 'ojo' styltryin: you are not lurking, you are a part of this thread!! kathryn: congrats on the new car seat, and the fact it came from your dad. it being one day past father's day (i have been out of town for fathers day for the past 3 years, hmmm) father's are an interesting thing. that is about all i can say! Jen: i cannot believe the surgery is almost here. way to go. your patience will pay off with a beautiful soon.

Ona, good job on ordering the ds! I don't know if it is the same for you, but the first time I ordered I felt this tremendous sense of anticipation - like it was really going to happen, you know?
I have been feeling amazingly positive since my pre-op appt last week. Like, the surgery's not long now, and then I'll get all healed up and my bfp will be right around the corner. I can't wait to start trying again! DeeDee, what's up with you this time? Are you trying soon?

Yay Jen!!! It's not long now for your surgery.
I don't know if I felt anticipation but I did feel more committed to this process... like up until now I was just making plans but now I am following through, if that makes sense. I am now FINANCIALLY committed to the process. Hehe.. well, actually not really, because I can cancel the order and not get charged, but I FEEL financially committed. Deej, if I do manage to get a photo of him I will definitely share. This is the longest day ever! I really wish it would be over.

Update on me - Jen since you asked, I will go ahead and let you wonderful ladies know what is going on in my end of the world...
It is hard to write because I am still letting it soak in as well. The man I have been dating, he too has wanted children for a long while. We are going to try and create one together. I apologize for not saying something sooner, as I had not made up my mind. He and I have talked about it for as long as we have dated. I do hope to not be booted out of the singles trying to conceive thread.... Everything I ever learned about ttc, I learned here! I will post updates if anybody is interested, but my main focus is to see all of us become mothers, one way or another... ![]()

Deej, don't you even think about leaving us!!!
![]() I am so pleased for you and can't wait to hear more about where things go. Are you going to be a go for this cycle or do you have to wait for "logistical" reasons? I hope we can TWW together. As I see it, it doesn't matter how we choose to conceive (as long as it's legal) and sometimes we come on here and have to change our plans. Afterall, I joined this group with a known donor that was going to be involved with the child. That didn't work out, and I changed my tactics. All that matters is that we are all strong women with a clear dream and the will and intelligence to not only be single parents, but also find a way to meet the man of our dreams. You just got there a bit sooner than the rest of us in the man department and for that I am grateful, because it gives me hope that all things are possible. ![]()

Deej, I think we all want the same thing here... to have a child. If you can do that with this guy, great! We don't all follow the same path to the end goal, after all.
But don't even think about leaving us!!! I will still need regular updates from you so we know how things are going... you can still 2ww with us and celebrate your bfp with us! Just to reiterate - no leaving!

Deej! Once a member of this group, always a member of this group! I think it's fantastic that you have found a man who also is committed to the idea of becoming a parent. Notwithstanding my decision to go it alone, I still think the ideal situation is a two-parent household where both parents are responsible and committed to raising the child. I just think that the men who fit that bill are thin on the ground!
Kathryn.

Yay Deej! I am glad you are sticking around. Also glad my experience (albeit a sucky one) is helping you with this path change. It took me a bit of time to adjust to the change to using DS. I'm still grapling with it on some levels, but I know that I am being true to myself. I think the fact that you started on this journey alone means you are more prepared. I think it also helps put this relationship in a strong starting off place because you are not dependent on your man and I think some guys tend to freak when they feel that pressure. So when are you supposed to O this month??
My AF is starting to arrive... just light pinkishness right now but that means she'll be in full force either tonight or tomorrow, so I will call the doc tomorrow morning and schedule CD3 appt. YAY!!!!! If all goes well with this cycle I should O sometime around end June/beginning July. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NO CYSTS!!!! Ok, so I went to the health food store at lunch and bought some rasberry leaf tea and will start drinking that 3 times a day. My doc said not to take any of my other supplements even though I think they help with my cycles and prevent cysts, but gonna do what he says. Cheers, Ona

Deej, That is so cool that your new man wants to have a baby with you. I assume that means that things are pretty serious between you two
What's so fun is that you get to do the to get pregnant. I wish you tons of . Any idea when you think you are going to try to get pregnant?Ona, I am so excited that AF is just around the corner. As far as the Raspberry Tea goes, I started drinking it after my BFN and I feel it helped with my follies bigger growth this time around. It is actually yummy tea. Good luck. I hope you your CD3 u/s shows perfectly growing follies. Jen, I can't believe your surgery is just around the corner How long do you think it will be when before you can get an IUI?I am 6dpiui. Today I feel a tiny bit nausous. I am eating like a pig Progesterone does that to you. I look like I am couple of months preggers. I've had a few cramps here and there and my boobs are quite largemungous. They don't hurt though, so that is weird. Other then that, this is virtually a pain free 2ww.

AF is officially here in all her crampy bloaty glory!
I called the doc this morning and they are going to see me tomorrow instead of Friday because the doctor will be out of the office on Friday. I guess that's no biggie, just having my tests a day sooner, which is ok by me cuz I hate waiting. So I will be seeing doc and having my u/s tomorrow at 10am! Fingers crossed for no cyst!

Ona, No cyst no cyst! They suck! I had a monster one two months ago, but it did go away on its own. TTC w/ a live one is proving to be a challenge. Needless to say, I will be flying out to Chicago a day early...Here's hoping my egg lives more than 12 hours! ![]()
