Sorry that you are having discomfort. UGH. That was very nice of your doc to call and check on you. I hope that saturday and sunday have allowed you some good healing time! One step closer to your bfp!

HI all,

Ok, I got a call from my new doctor today...on a Sunday!!! She said she'd call me in a few days and she did. Pretty awesome.

She wants me to go see my radiologist that I saw for when I had cancer and get the cyst scanned to make sure it's just a plain ol' ordinary cyst... then she wants me to see my gyn oncologist and get confirmation from her that all is ok for me to have babies (just a formality really) and then she wants me to schedule an appt to go see a counselor regarding donor sperm, which is something they have all the folks who use donor sperm do. I actually like that she is being thorough. Once I get all that done we're going to arrange for the IUI process. I'm hoping I can manage to get it all done in the next week so that I can give things a go this upcoming cycle... I just feel time ticking away.

Ok, so I am completely mad because I got a PUPPY!!!! I've been wanting to get a friend for my dog and I saw these puppies at the farmer's market and one of them totally snuggled on me and I melted and had to take him home. I guess that's a sign that I am seriously clucky!

Well, back to making dinner. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Cheers!

Ona

A lot going on with everyone on this board! I am grateful to have found this... I'm sure ttc can be stressful for anyone, but being single it does help to get support from other singles...!

Teri, I'd be doing as little as possible, pelvic rest aside. You might want to try False Unicorn Root - I've head taking it can stop spotting/bleeding successfully. It's at health food stores, but phone first as they don't all carry it.

Lilac, sounds like you are doing as well as can be expected... tho' surgery may be "routine" the reality is that your body was invaded(!) I'd rest as much as possible - it's awesome you got great family support!

Congrats on the new job, nursegirl! That must be a strong positive boost!

Deej, hoping for your au natural this month !

Mostly people have agreed I should go w/ds since it's more straight ahead in a lot of ways...I have a busy July, so I may give myself a month off... rest up and save up for an IVF... or maaaybe try ICI at home w/ds... I wonder if a home attempt being less stressful could work... tho' it might just be a waste of $... I guess it's hard to let a month slide by, even if I am trying to prepare for a possible IVF with exercise, eating right, etc.

Ona, I agreed to foster care a dog this week, even tho' I already have two of my own... it's just our strong maternal drive...! Not to worry!!! ;-)

Good morning all.

Teri, I'm so glad the baby is doing well. I know, from trolling this cite, that there are multiple things that could cause bleeding in an otherwise normal pregnancy. In fact, my SIL bled with both my niece and nephew, and they are both fine and dandy.

Styltryn, I'm with Ona. Use donor sperm. If your boyfriend is even being slightly flaky, it does not bode well eithr for ttc or for co-parenting afterwards. Plus, you can weed out some annoying characteristics by shopping for donor sperm! My donor was a way better reproductive candidate than my ex-husband!

Dee Dee, did you ask about the linea negra? Did I respond? (Can you see hints of pregnancy brain?) I don't really have one. I have a very, very pale line from the belly button downward, but I may just be imagining that!

Jen, that's fantastic that your surgery went so well. And I hear you on the not being able to bend over, but of course mine is for a different reason. I tried to clean my big jacuzzi tub this weekend, and it was a nightmare because I literally, physically, cannot bend far enough to clean the entire tub. I was cursing up a storm!

Nurse, you got a new job? I need to read back through the posts! But yay!

Ona, I, personally, think you're a bit insane to get a puppy! Don't you have multiple horses and horse babies? But you're insane in a really good way. I just have me and my cat, and he's getting so needy that it's annoying. As soon as I sit down, he is on top of me, walking on the belly, trying to rub his head against my face. I can't get him just to sit next to me for pets ... he HAS to be on me. I keep telling him that cats are supposed to be stand-offish and that he is an embarrassment to the feline world, but I don't think he cares.

More later.

Kathryn.

Happy Monday, Ladies!
Ona - a puppy? if you can handle baby horses, grown horses, and other animals, it probably will not be much of a transition for you. i love dogs and have not had my own for almost 6 years...
kathryn - i believe that ona commented on the linea thingie... i wonder if i will have one. i wonder if i will ever get pregnant! by the way, your cat sounds pretty cool. if i was not allergic, i would think about getting one, especially if it was one that snuggled like a dog!
styltryn - i did a cycle w/ ds via ICI. it was in addition to IUI, i enjoyed the process but it did not result in bfp. good luck if you go for it! for me, financially i would not do it again. that is if you are paying for the ds. that stuff is expensive!
kuddlygal - how did your weekend of movies turn out? i saw 'for one more day' and 'the great debaters'
Ladies - if no bfp for me, i am going to do a clomid cycle w/ fertility doc using a vial of ds that i had from months ago! i am on cycle day 24, so that could mean 4 days til af or 14 days til af, as my last two cycles were nowhere near the same length? i am feeling sore boobs, very common for me and my pms and i am sort of moody... i will poas, but ladies, what day would i do that on? i o'ed on the 19.
Have a wonderful one!

This is the hardest post I think I've ever written.I lost my baby and my heart is broken.after I went to my RE on friday,I kept bleeding heavier and heavier.my cramps got worse and I ended up going to the e.r. early saturday morning.they did another ultrasound and my baby had no more heartbeat.I knew that when my RE told me to prepare for a possible miscarriage onb friday that something was wrong.all these weeks of worrying have finally ended, just not the way I hoped for.

Oh Teri,

I'm just sick for you. Words fail me.

I don't know if this will bring you any consolation at all, but I've been in your shoes. It took a while, but I finally recovered emotionally and I finally got pregnant with a keeper. Keep the faith that you will follow the same path.

Kathryn

Well, ladies, my incisions are looking better and are almost itchy so are definitely starting to heal. I am still bleeding though and being a tampon girl I am finding pads difficult to deal with.

My mother stayed with me on Saturday but she went home after lunch yesterday. I am feeling tired and fragile but at the same time I got quite bored yesterday afternoon so I am being careful not to let boredom make me take on too much. It is much hotter here than usual too, so that is taking it out of me.

I took the day off from work today. I think I could probably manage a couple of hours but I figured why push myself? Tomorrow is a national holiday so that gives me two full days to heal a bit more.

Teri, my heart aches for you! I am so sorry. If I was there I'd give you a big hug. Please take care of yourself. I hope you have folks there to be with you and give you hugs. Ditto what Kathryn said. The little angel just wasn't strong enough but hang onto the hope that there is a stong healthy baby in your near future. My friend lost her baby at 20 weeks and found herself immediately pregnant the next cycle with twins!

Jen, I am glad you are doing alright and that you're recovering well. I'm also glad you're letting yourself take it slowly and not overdo it. I know I have had a hard time with that in the past...just get so antsy sitting around doing nothing.

I called my radiologist up this morning and they're going to see me TOMORROW!!! My best friend actually went to my RE and got the doctor's orders for me because they were originally just going to mail them. The office is an hour from my house and it's just around the corner from her so she dropped everything and drove over there for me! My friend rules! I'm still trying to reach my gyn/oncologist about the letter but no luck so far...that office is much harder to deal with.

I'm thinking of all you lasses, but especially you Teri.
