LADIES - Fairfax cryo has free childhood photos for the month of July! I was looking to see if my donor had a reported pregnancy, and guess what? HE DOES!

So you are getting ready to go! Wow! No sign of AF at all yet for me, so I shall be at least a bit behind you (fine by me, little more recovery time not a bad thing).

Free photos, ooh, I should check that out. I still have 2 vials left, but I might need more...

Great news on the reported pregnancy! At least you know your spermies work!

Hello Ladies,

Teri, congrats on the apartment! It sounds lovely!

Jen! Yay! No more stitches! And that is great news that you get to jump back in the game so soon!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Deej, if AF is on her way I hope she comes soon. I have for you this cycle!!!!

It's been a mad day so didn't get much time to come in here but happy to see all the good news on the board.

My boss wired me a partial payment on my paycheck for this month so I can at least get my rent and basic bills paid... such a pain in the butt!

I've been having lots of aching and cramping on my left side ever since my LH surge, so I REALLY hope that means that darn cyst is rupturing. In a best case scenario, I'm hoping I can see the counselor next week and that my doctor will say it is ok if I don't have the letter from my gyn/oncologist. Then I can see her for my CD3 and get another u/s to see if the cyst is gone, and if it is then I am in the game... of course, this is BEST case scenario, and I am the queen of Murphy's Law, so I'll need lots of crossed fingers!!!

I hope you lasses have a lovely 4th of July weekend. Baby dust to all!!!

Cheers,

Ona

Yeah Mindi, you're right, each clinic is very different, and I think in general it does "pay" to shop around for a clinin, RE, and cryo bank too. My experiences have varied in all regards. I'm still trying to get it all optimal for myself... also, I think that if you have enough time to research protocols it might help you to advise the RE. Their expertise can be good, but if we are in tune with our own bodies, we know better at times. For example, I know that sometimes I ovulate early, so it's important to tell your RE stuff like that, but even checking the net for protocols, there is a lot of difference between what different RE's think is best.

Happy 4rth everyone! to us all! Wow, Terri, sounds like you are bouncing right back, so good for you! The new apt. sounds great! Having comfy digs to your liking is a big plus imho! I might discuss with my RE doing unmedicated cycles too. Why take the risks of medication if it's not needed? I also o on my own, but I'm over 40, so I thought I need to make multiple eggs to increase my odds for a good one? Anyone have thoughts on that?

Ona, your work sitch seems stressy - I guess it's worth it if there's good points to it, but I'd be job shopping already. Jeepers, one co. I worked for started stiffing me on pay, and after about four iffy weeks layed me off. It was a long time ago, but I still remember...

Jen, happy you are feeling better and going to be getting to go ahead with another try - yay!

Deej, hang in there! maybe it's AF or not, but have a happy 4rth! I read a post the other day on a board by someone who found out they were pg. when planning for IVF for the following month! If you don't get your this mo., there's always next month!

Got a busy day with holiday plans later, so sorry if I missed anyone . I'm sitting out this month, and will probably do IUI again in August, which if it doesn't work, maybe I should consider IVF. I feel I need a month of rest, accupuncture and no meds., plus need to travel this month some for work, which could make things tough for timing, etc.

That sounds like a fantastic day! Crabs and fireworks! I took my mom to a small gathering at her friends house, good food. Other than that, not a darn thing... Been lazy and loving it! I too viewed about 4 more baby pics. I could not resist, after all, I have paid so much for all those pics and profiles!

Hello Ladies! Happy 4th!

Sorry Jen, what with you bein' in Canadia, you got stuck at work... sucko!

Ooo Kuddley! I am so jealous. I am feeming for some crabs. I used to live out nearer you, in King George and there was a great little crab shack near my house. There aren't any crab places out where I am now. Maybe I'll have to take a long drive tomorrow and get a dozen number 1s... yum!

I spent the 4th sleeping in...then I went to a party at a friend's house. It was fun seeing all my friends but my ex who married a serious witch with a B was there. He's super nice but his wife is a raging yenta, and of course she just LOOOOOOOVES me!

I'm as bad as you ladies...I already know which donor I want but I went on there just to pick a few runners up and see their photos. Hey, do you ladies mind sharing your donor numbers? THen I can go see their photos as well. I'm with you Deej...I spent so much on my profiles and photos so I'm loving this free baby pic thing.

StylTryn, yes the job is a bit of a worry. On the good side, it is a small company; just 5 people and a development team in India. So it's very personable. Everyone knows everyone and my boss is a nice guy and was apologizing left right and center for the paycheck mess. On the negative side, it is a small company... we rely on our customers paying their invoices on time and when they don't, things get a bit tight financially. Part of the problem is the owner is a overwhelmed and so he's not really focusing enough on the financials... But we have some MAJOR clients (4 major city fire depts) and we just won another contract in a major city AND are in final selection for another... so there is a potential for some $$$, and we should get a chance soon to have stock in the company so if someone buys us then we'd get BIG $$...enough for me to retire (that of course, is best case scenario...and the same Murphy clause applies). But the biggest reason I am putting up with this is that it'd be almost impossible to find a job that is 100% telework and is ok with me working any hours I want... I was able to do hospital shifts AND have this job and if I can get another medic job then I'd be able to bring in some good money.

Anyway, I am just hanging on.. hoping it all works out.

I am nothing but hope these days...really hope this pain is my cyst going POP and really hope that my doctor lets me get by without that letter.

Good news though...my insurance FINALLY paid ALL my claims. TOok enough squaking. They SAY that since they have my records now and approved it as "not preexisting" that even though I'm seeing a different doctor, I shouldn't have to go through this again because it is the same type of doctor (hope I am making sense). So, happy joy!

Ok, I am off to watch a bit of tellie then to bed.

Cheers!

Ladies, your days sound wonderful! I need to get me some crabs soon.

I had an awful day at work. My assistant went to WA (or possibly OR) for the weekend and I found TONS of mistakes she had made while I was off. Complete disaster - honestly I was glad she wasn't there because I was very close to losing my temper! Meanwhile my bosses were fussing and fussing always means more work for me! Argh!

So I'm glad some of you had lovely days!

But it's the weekend now for me too, and all is good! Yay!

Okay, with all the Fairfax talk... well naturally I wanted to take advantage of the free photos. I don't know if I'll go with Fairfax next time (I hope not to need a next time!), but I figured, worth getting the photos just in case.

So if I just downloaded the baby picture of every donor who fell even vaguely within my requirements, would that be a bad thing?

Hope you all had a wonderful july 4th...jen,if you don't mind my saying, you're assistant really sounds like a nasty person.she had no right to imply that you weren't actually "sick".its none of her business!!and then to leave mistakes that you had to correct on top of itugh...I'm glad its now the weekend for you ona,I hope, hope, hope that cyst has gone pop and you never have to see the nasty little thing again...kuddley,it sounds like you had the perfect holiday!!...styltryn,its tough to decide whether or not to use the meds.personally, after my experience,I'm glad my RE has said no more meds.his theory is that if nature is working properly, don't mess with it and I agree with him.meds are wonderful for some people though and I think its something worth discussing with your RE.the benefits may outweigh the potential risks and costs or vice versa.....on a personal note,I went appliance shopping (small appliance)with my dad and I got all of my small appliances!!!!!!!!I never thought I'd get excited over a can opener or a toaster, but I amlol.

Hello ladies

Well I have been up since 5.45 as I had to be in manchester for my appointment at 9.30am. Good news I'm ovulating from my good side again so all I need now is my smiley face. I was quietly hoping that it'd be my left side because my hearts not really in it this month but I don't want to cancel because I've taken my medication.

I only have one follicle which is 17mm and I'm only day 10 so I'm defo not going to take clomid again. I also have free fluid. Anyone know what it means. Wondering if its the free fluid giving me all the pain I have been experiencing this month. I could'nt walk properly this morning for the pain.

Anyway I'm having a 2 month break at least after this to my body can have a rest then hopefully I'll be starting treatment at the hopsital nearer to me house.

Hope you all had a happy 4th July day.

Right off to take some painkillers for this pain and then try to sleep for an hour
