Ona, that is incredible about the phone call/conversation, everything! she is going to call the ob/gyn that keeps blowing you off? awesome! a doctor will probably take a call from another doctor! she read the radiologists report and gave you feedback? i love how on top of things she sounds! it seems that everything is falling into place and that you are one day closer to being a mum!!
Good night ladies!

Hello ladies

Well tonight is day 14 and still no smiley face. I was thinking that I might have missed it and phoned the clinic for advice, they just said to carry on with the OPK for the next couple of days. Just my luck really since I wanted to ring in sick at work. Just my luck I'll get the smiley face Friday

Mindi: I'm in for this month, hopefully, if I ever get a smiley face, today is day 14 and nothing. Hope it happens by the weeked. What a good friend you have there, I defo won't hesitate in taking him up on his offer.

Deej: Have you decided if and when you'll test. Sorry but I'm so impatient. I have everything crossed for you.

Ona: Hopefully everything will be sorted out so you can have your IUI this month.

Kathryn: Love the pic, are you hoping to have a natural birth? have you decided on names?

I don't know whats wrong with me lately but I've been moody for weeks, especially with my lovely neighbour.

Think Su is due in less than a month, think I might PM her.

Good morning all.

Mindi, congrats on finding a willing, altruistic donor. Having attempted to go that route myself, I have some advice. Sign some sort of a contract, expressing your intent that the man is acting solely as a donor and will have no parental rights. It is unclear whether such an agreement will hold up in court, but it's better that you have things spelled out.

Ona, the first time I tried to log on to the yahoo group, I couldn't. So before I tried to post a picture on my profile here, I looked back through the old threads trying to find the information for the yahoo group, to no avail. (We are a prolific bunch!) Anyway, I'm a total moron and if you could post the yahoo group info one more time, I'll do my best to log on and put up a few more pics, including one of me sitting and looking vaguely like Jabba the Hut.

As for me, I do have the baby's name picked out. He will be Davis Andrew. All the men in my family have the name "Davis" as their middle name, so hopefully this will help my baby feel more connected to the menfolk in the family.

Hope everyone is well!

Kathryn.

PeggySue: Hang in there regarding the smiley face! my cycles were never as many days as what was considered 'average'. I would ovulate on day 19! regarding the hpt - i may test today. morning urine is best, but afternoon will have to do! OR NOT, i am a huge chicken!
Kathryn - i love the name davis! one of my favorite cousins, that is her middle name. i probably shared that with you before... great name! are you down to days instead of weeks? it seems so close! AHH I AM silly... your signature ticker has 37 days... WOW

Good morning lasses,

I'm having one of those days where all I want to do is go back to sleep. Part of it is that I've been marginally ill for weeks now...you know, when you are fighting something off and just have that aweful morning sore throat that eventually goes away... so I am tired tired tired.

Susan, my advice is to start POAS twice a day so you don't miss the surge.

Kathryn, love the name for your beebee!!!! Here's the link for yahoo group: singlemothers2b : Single Mothers To Be

Mindi, I agree with Susan 100% regarding the donor contract. If you want a template, I still have a word doc of my contract that I was going to use. You may need to change some of the wording or modify some of the conditions but it's a good starting point.

Deej,...TEST TEST TEST TEST TEST! ;-)

Cheers!

Ona

Happy wednesday ladieshope you all are having a great day...mindi,that's awesome you decided to have Mark be your donorI think its great!!..kathryn,I love your nameI'm so excited that its almost time!!!..ona,I'm hoping that nasty cyst is gone!!..deej,I also have mother issues and you are a good daughter.try not to get too stressed over it.I know that's easier said than done..okayI am "allowed" to start ttc again in about 5 weeks according to my RE so I'm counting the days down, but I have also made the decision that in addition to my iui,I am thinking of having what I call "supplemental sex" to increase my chances of getting a healthy baby this time.my logic is that more sperm equals more opportunity.the way I figured it is that I got pregnant twice before au naturale so hopefully between that and the iui,I have all my bases covered..in other news,I'm in the process of furniture shopping and its going okay.yesterday,I wasn't watching where I was walking and I fell and cut and bruised my ankle pretty badlyso needless to say,my shopping ended early.I have absolutely NO gracefullness whatsoever.lol..it was more embarassing than painful.oh well..at least it was funny.

Teri,

sorry you hurt your ankle. I can be massively uncoordinated myself, so I have a lot of sympathy. Did I mention falling off my chair at work week before last?

I finally joined the yahoo group and posted a few more pics from the baby shower, if anyone is interested. Oh, and I also checked out the baby horse pictures, Ona! Your place looks so peaceful and lovely, and the foal is adorable.

Kathryn.

YAY Kathryn!!! I'm jumping the group now to see those pics! I nearly had milk come out my nose at the mention of you falling out of your chair.

Ouch Teri! I'm glad you are ok. And I thought I was the only klutz here..hehe.

I actually BROKE my ankle and gave myself a 4th degree sprain getting out of my bed! This was a few years ago but the ankle still isn't healed. Had to call for an ambulance because I lived in the boonies and was in so much pain I couldn't stand and nearest friend was 2 hours away. I was grateful we had just put in wood floors because I was able to slide on my butt down the hallway to get to the phone. It wasn't funny then but it's pretty funny now.

Deej!!! Did you POAS yet? I'm on the edge of my seat over here!!!!!

Sorry ladies but this has to be really quick. I've been really busy all day and I'm on my way out the door.

Well today is day 15 and still no smiley face, my boobs are starting to go sore and I have back ache. I spoke to the nurse at the clinic and was advised to continue with the OPKs. If its going to happen I hope it doesn't happen on Saturday as I won't be able to have my IUI until Monday. Anyway guess I'll have to wait and see.

Will catch up with everyone tomorrow.

Have a pleasant evening ladies.
