ona - let us know when they will show that episode! how exciting. that is great news about the u/s and mammogram! so glad it is nothing serious. i have had one mammogram. it was not fun. the thing that freaked me most was the warning about not wearing deoderant... this was last summer when i had it done, and i live in south texas... the idea of not wearing deoderant is frightening in itself! anyhow, not sure if they are more pleasant if you actually HAVE breast tissue. the lady had to grab and pull skin from the side of my chest and armpits to put inbetween the torture tool!
nursegirl - come on AF! i hope that the medicine does what it is supposed to do, with no side effects,( does provera have side effects?? i know clomid can ) and you are one step closer to BFP!

Hehe... yes Jen...Now we wait.... and wait.... and wait...

Have I mentioned that I hate waiting?

On the subject of Mammogram...um...in a word..."OUCH!!!!!!!" I can't imagine what it feels like when there's not much to squeeze, but let me tell you, my boobs were not meant to be flat. In fact, they don't go flat and the lady kept pressing that plate down and I'm like "any further and you're going to have to use a spatula to get them back off". I have very sore BBs on a good day, so having them flopped around and made into boob pancakes was NOT fun. The u/s wasn't bad at all though. I told the radiologist I've probably had over 30 u/s in my life but this was the first time they u/s my boob and she laughed. I said, all in all, I'll take this kind over someone pressing on my belly when I have a full bladder, or sticking a magic wand in rather personal private places. She was having a hard time not laughing at me.

So, here is hoping that AF shows soon for all us ladies in waiting!

I've got the days being x'd off my calendar and am really anxious to get this show on the road!

Hugs to all!

Long time no post

Sorry ladies,

I've been really busy at work.

Welcome to the new comers, this is a wonderful site, you'll feel comfortable asking/talking about everything and anything.

Su: Congratulations, what a beautiful name. I've been wondering, can you see the donor at all in the baby???? I'm so excited for you. When you get time hope you'll be able to post a birth story and some pics.

Deej: congratulations, March baby, it'll be March in no time at all. Hopefully by March we'll all have bumps.

silverbrumby: Glad everything went well with the mammogram.

Update on me: Treatment was cancelled this month. Have no idea if I ovulated this month. Af was due yesterday but no sign. Today I have a bit of back ache so we will just see, might be ovulation, though I did an OPK this month and it was negative. All I keep thinking is that on 5th July I was told I had a follicle at 17mm, do you thing this could have been a cyst, do they look the same.

I sperm has been ordered and so the hospital is just waiting for the delivery and then I can start again. I was excited to begin with but now I just want my af to turn up so I can have a month of no meds before I start again.

Anyway, hope all you wonderful and beautiful ladies have a good weekend.

Susan! So great to see you! Sorry your cycle didn't cooperate but I think it is just a sign you are meant to use this new donor and I am hoping that going to the hospital closer to you will make the process a lot less stressful and a lot more manageable. You can join the rest of us ladies in waiting and have a May baby too! ;-)

Good morning all.

Deej, the u/s sounds great! And my RE told me that an u/s is the best prognosticator, so the fact that the fetus is there and measuring appropriately is fantastic!

Ona, it sounds like you had a couple of great appointments, too. I have been having yearly mammograms for over a decade since my mom died of breast cancer and was first diagnosed in her 30s. Although getting the boobs squished isn't on my top ten list of fun things to do, I don't dread the test.

My appointments yesterday went well. The perinatologist estimates the baby weighs just over 7 lbs. With 3 weeks to go, that means approximately an 8 1/2 lb baby, which is normal. It sounds big to me, though! At this point, there are no signs that his arrival is imminent. He is head down, but not engaged. The OB offered to check my cervix, but said that she'd rather wait until I felt signs of changes. So I declined, given that the perinatology u/s earlier in the day showed no signs of engagement. I haven't had noticeable Braxton Hicks contractions over the past 24 hours. Those aren't painful and are just a tightening of the abdominal muscles. Your belly feels really hard! I still didn't gain any weight this go-round, so I'm still at just over 2 lbs for the past 10 weeks, 17 lbs overall.

To all of you waiters ... Jen, Susan, Ona, nurse, here's hoping that August is your month, and that we end up with a whole host of May babies!

k.

Kathryn - 8.5 #s sounds perfect! Was there not a lady in the news recently who had twins, each weighing over 10#s? How exciting that you are THIS close. As far as gaining weight during pregnancy, I have only read a little bit about it. My sis in law gained 60 w/ her first baby, and her doctor told her he wanted to put her on an island so that she would stop eating! She did not gain as much with the following two... So 17 pounds sounds like a great number compared to 60!
PeggySue - sorry that you cannot try this month, but perhaps it is the world getting the perfect sperm and perfect egg aligned! i am getting so excited for all of the may babies as well!

Ona, your mammogram does not sound like a ton of fun! Ooh, ouch. I've heard some women just find them uncomfortable and for others they are quite painful. And yes, I do know about how you hate waiting!

Susan, I'm sorry this cycle did not work out, but it sounds like everything will be good going forward with the hospital near you. Hope those spermies are ready soon!

Kathryn, I'm glad your appointments went well. It sounds like you still have a little time to go. Hang in there!

Well, ladies, I am out of the AF wait. I woke up this morning at 2AM with fairly nasty cramps. AF is here! Yahoo!

Here's hoping the rest of you AF-waiters follow me quickly!

YAY JEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad AF is finally deciding to show!!!!! You'll be the first to TWW and after your ordeal you deserve to be the leader of the pack!

Kathryn, your weight and baby's weight both sound GREAT! That is awesome that you didn't gain any weight, which actually means you probably lost weight while baby gained. WAY TO GO!!!!

I'm just chilling out and enjoying my day off. We spent a leisurely morning watching Max chase my puppy around the house, then we went down to visit the horses and feed them lunch. Now my friend and her husband and baby are now taking a "family nap". Little max was confused this morning when the sun came out and his little clock thought it was 5am california time. He's been suprisingly ungrumpy, but a nap definitely was needed to avoid a melt down later today. But in reality, the nap is probably more for mum and dad than for baby.

I have a book I just bought that I may sit down and read but I'm sorta craving a nap myself, so not sure if I'll read or just go take a snooze.

Good to see lots of folks on the forum!!!!

Yeah for AF Jen! Are you going in for a 3 day u/s?

Ona, great news on the mammo. I can't tell you how much I despise getting those. It's like torture chamber for boobs I pretty much refuse to get one again until they make a machine that doesn't feel like it's going to pop my boob. So, you all clear to go and get sprogged up in August

Kathryn, I can't believe that you only gained 17 lbs. with this pregnancy! That is fantastic. I put on 10 lbs. since my first round of meds back in April, which is an indication that I will most likely gain 4x as much weight as you did You will no doubt be back in shape within a couple of months after Davis is born. Woo Hoo!

Susan, I'm there right with you wondering where AF is. I am going in next week for a u/s to see if maybe it's a cyst. I got my there isn't one and that I am just back to having a 40 day cycle.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Kathyrn. I am so excited for you..Your little one is going to be in your arms before we know it!!! I am having no Pms symptoms to even indicate that AF is coming.. which is very frustrating.. Was really hoping that i would O on my own! I did do some baby dancing over the past month but it wasnt around when I should have been ovulating. I know what some of you are thinking go buy a HPT. Dont want to . Just sick of getting my hopes up. Which I really need to get over lol.

Hello everyone,

May I join? I am a single mother of a 9 year old girl, but since the begining of this year I have been TTC using IUI and donor sperm. I have only had three attemps so far but all have failed unfortunately.

A friend of mine has offered his sperm, so from next month I will be trying again! I am 36 years old.
