Hey lasses! just a quickie to let you know I am still in the running. I have one fllie on the left that is growing slowly. It's now 14.5cm. Doc thinks I'll prolly surge on Tuesday but I am coming in for an u/s this weekend to be checked. 4oc gave me the go ahead to p/u my vial tomorrow. If for some reason it doesn't get used the cryobank said as long as I bring it back before the 7 days are up they can store it for me to use next cycle. So it's back to waiting for me, but I at least have some hope of being able to give it a go this cycle.I am writing this from my phone so I'll post again when I get home.

Styltryn, yep my tubes have been checked twice, all clear and open... my RE is super-conservative but he was asking about my age at my u/s so I'm hoping his thoughts may be headed in the more-aggressive direction as well. I was willing to give clomid a couple of tries but if this one doesn't work I'll want to try something else.

Wow, I sure had a lot of typos in my last post...hard to type on my phone... for record it's 14.5mm not cm, and that is Doc not 4oc...LOL

Styltryn, what does your flakey bf do (or not do) that has him all over the place like that? I think I would tend to agree with your doc if they suggest using DS instead of FS (flakey sperm) because the stress alone isn't worth it.

Deej, I second what styltryn said. My only experience with anything even remotely resembling pregnancy hormones was on the pill, and that turned me into a weeping hysterical mess even for months after I stopped taking them. I'm not looking forward to what the progesterone is going to do to me. So I can't imagine what you are going through, not just on the chemical side but the experience itself. I am so glad that you felt inspired and I hope you will be rejoining us in this frustrating journey soon. But the good side is you CAN get pregnant and it will happen!

Jen, thanks so much! I really hope that follie keeps growing and I can have my IUI. By my calendar I am supposed to surge on the weekend, but based on measurements, unless that follie has a major growth spurt, I don't see how it would be big enough even by Sunday... I'm OPKing every day just to be on the safe side. I probably should start BBTs but I am terrible about doing those first thing and always forget. I don't know though, because my AF was 5 days late so maybe this cycle is just deciding to be longer than my normal cycles and the surge won't be until later. At least I will have my swimmers on hand in case I need them, and if for some reason I can't do the IUI, at least they won't be wasted. My doc says I should definitely know one way or another before Thursday so if things don't work out I'll just return the vial to storage and use it next cycle. When do you think you'll be on your TWW this time? It would be cool if we overlap.

Mindi, where are you girl? We're on the same timeline (or at least we used to be) so you should be nearing your surge time...

For that matter...where is everyone else??? It's been pretty quiet around here lately. I feel like I'm monopolizing the conversation!

Oh, I wanted to add that my doc made me feel so much better today. She kept saying how great my lining looks and that we just need the ovaries to start catching up and then she looked at my last scan side by side with this one and said that I should get the vial tomorrow and she said to "keep doing whatever I'm doing". I laughed and said the only thing I was doing was trying not to freak the heck out and stress myself to death. She is going to be available for me to call her over the long weekend if I see a surge. If I have to have my IUI over the holiday then she'll have me go to the big clinic across from her.

Anyway, I'm not on the smooth road yet, but I'm feeling a little less worried.

Sorry I've been mia for a long time..so much has been going on.a few weeks ago my dad had shoulder surgery and he has now developed a staph infection that's quite serious in his arm.he's been in the hospital for 2 days now and its looking like he's going to lose his arm.I got hit with my first real wave of morning sickness last night and I am feeling pretty rotten.

Well, I've tried a couple of times to upload photos to no avail. The pictures take up too much memory, and I don't know how to change that. Maybe I'll try to upload them to the yahoo group.

I had a scare yesterday. Apparently, as a result of the budget crisis, the court (aka my employer) axed 10 jobs yesterday ... so much for feeling safe working for the State. Although the judges discussed eliminating my job, they decided against it. So it appears that I have a job to return to. Thank God. I still feel sort of ill about the whole thing.

Ona, congrats on this month being a "go" for you. I know you've waited a long, long time. I hope this try is successful.

Ona, I should (in theory) be going for iui next Thurs or Friday, so we should overlap some in our 2ww... I'm so glad you are not out!

Kathryn, Davis is a gorgeous baby! And I'm really happy you still have a job! It's always been in the back of my mind that I might just not come back to this job after mat leave (in the sense that I'd get another job instead), but to suddenly lose my job while I was off... well panic might well set in!

All is well with me. 2 days clomid down, 3 to go! I am feeling good, apart from an intense desire not to be at work!

Kathryn, the job scare would have me a bit anxious too but it sounds like the worst is over and that is good that they decided to keep your position even though 10 poor souls got let go. Never fun, and not something you would expect in a govt position, as you said.

So my spirits are much improved today and I'm feeling like there still is some hope.

Yes indeed! And that is super cool that we'll get to TWW together a bit... although seems like you have a rather short cycle if we're that close.

It's on the short side, but not super short. Last cycle I triggered on day 12 and had iui on day 13. My doc is expecting something similar this time, and I'll be on cd 12 a week today. I'm usually 26 days like clockwork... though in Jan I had a 20 day cycle and ovulated on day 8. This is why I opk early and often!

Ona, yeah on having a growing follie. For a unmedicated cycle that is fantastic. As long as you are being monitored on it's growth I have doubt that you will no miss your surge and that your IUI will be done by Tuesday

I will not know until tomorrow morning what kind of action is going on in my ovaries. My u/s is at 7:00 am and it couldn't come any sooner. It's almost worse wating for the news then it was during my 2ww. I have been OPKing and have been seeing different results different brands of sticks so I am all confused. I have no CM, which I think is from still having some of the meds still in my system. Usually I have tons of CM which was great in keeping track of O, but not having any this time is driving me crazy. I so don't want to miss another month. I am praying to the fertility gods that I have a good egg in one of my ovaries this month.

Jen, so glad that you are in for another IUI. How come your RE isn't being more aggressive and putting you on injectables? I say if not luck this cycle with clomid that you should go full force with drugs! That's just my opionion though, lol.

MsVee! That is awesome that you are going for IVF next month. I hope that the stimming isn't driving you crazy with all of those hormones going wild. Can you give us a bit of the previous ttc procedures that you have been through already, i.e. how many IUI's, any meds, DS or KD, etc.

Styltryn, any update on when you are going to go for IVF and where? I think you should look out for your best interest and find a donor just in case fb doesn't follow trough with his end of the job, sigining he papers. You don't want to wait any longer for that IVF, especially if you are doing it overseas.

Deej, so glad to see that your spirits are up and are back to posting again. I sure hope that your dreams of being a mommy have not been put too far on the back burner. I know that this may not be a consulation, but I have had many girlfriends who had a m/c with their 1st pregnancy (which is totally common) and got pregnant right away with no complications at all. I know you will too.

Ugh! Can it be Friday already! I don't want to be here at work!

Ona, I don't always mind the shorter cycles... it means I can try again sooner, after all! Your eggs just take a little longer to grow, that's all. As long as you get there in the end, right?
