Susan: I am sorry to hear AF paid an unwelcome visit... 2ww's are slow, and do not always end on a good note! One day each of us will have a chance for a 2ww to turn into a 9 month wait! A lady on this forum, who it took 14 IUI's to get pregnant always wrote, for each lady who gets a BFP this month, she had a BFN the month before... Hang in there, and may the second try be THE ONE for you!
Becca: that is great your surgery is right around the corner AND you will have family/friends to help if you need any... i am hoping that the surgery is a success and you get your BFP soon after! Teri: the comment about multiples... congrats or oh no!? just keep in mind that if too many eggs are released and fertilized, you may be faced w/ the decision for selective reduction OR have issues w/ you physically being able to hold that many babies... Be on the safe side and ask your doctor, I may have mentioned it before about a lady from this thread that was given an IUI w/ a large amount of follicles but not warned about possible outcomes. Whatever you decide Teri, we support you!! Kathryn: i believe my ONLY chance of ever being busty is when i am pregnant... all kidding aside, i am glad to hear you are showing! that is so exciting! have you already told co-workers? or are they figuring it out Erica: how goes the wait? any car info? any travel plans? do you think you will be able to swing both? Any Ladies from Texas or Ohio? I live in Texas, and today is the primary... If your state is having a primary today, Be sure to Vote!!

Mindi, congrats on the hsg results! I'm glad it went okay, mine was really painful so I'm glad it wasn't uncomfortable for you.
Teri, great eggs! The idea of multiples would worry me a bit though! I'm not sure how I'd cope. Ona, good luck at the interview and test! Susan, I'm so sorry this time didn't work... some people really do get pregnant immediately, but I'm sorry that wasn't you. Here's hoping the next time turns out better.

Hello Lasses,
Susan, on the . I'm sorry you didn't experience beginner's luck. I imagine we all must hope to get it on the first try....it sure would make things a lot less stressful, not to mention LESS EXPENSIVE! But even if it takes 12 months I plan to see this through. In the end, it'll be worth it. Please do hang out with us more. Some of us are on the bench so it's ok if you just want to get advice on good cars or good underwear. We're here for ya! ;-)Erica...I'm anxiously awaiting news of your travels, tww, and job... My interview seemed to go well today and I even managed to not totally bomb the test. I don't think I did great, but I at least didn't embarass myself. It was a panel interview which was nerve wracking. I joked that I felt like I was auditioning for American Idol and asked "Ok, which one of you is Simon"... they liked that... All in all, they were a really nice bunch. They did tell me that out of hundreds of applicants, they selected 75 to review and of those, I was one of only FIVE people that got an interview, so that is saying something! Even if I don't get the gig, it was so cool to get in for the interview and I am lucky with the job I have in that I could survive without a second job... that experience and the extra income would be nice though...baby fund needs some more dough! Ok, before I babble on endlessly, my other news for the day is that I sent my patient consent forms in to Fairfax today, so I should be "on their books" in a few days. Now all I need to do is 1. wait for my new insurance to kick in, and 2. find an RE... :-) Ok, I'm off to fiddle with my new tablet PCs for work! Cheers! O.

ona, i feel for your friend. thats a tough situation to be in. when my dr saw my ovaries response, the 1st thing he said was that he had to warn me that i have a very good chance of multiples because of the # of follicles & that i had the option to cancel this cycle. i said no i don't want to cancel it. i want twins or even triplets would be great
. anything more than that makes me a little uneasy. i am also uneasy about reduction, so i'm praying for triplets at the most . he said that he never hears anyone say they want more than one & that the decision whether or not to continue is ultimately mine. and i totally think that job is yours !!lilac, i'm a little uneasy about anything higher than triplets.. kathryn, strangers think you're pregnant, not fat . and i'm sure you are glowing !!peggysue, i'm sorry about your . the 2nd time will be it!!deej, who are you voting for? i'm a huckabee girl, but mccain will do i suppose. i would be very interested to hear about what happened to the lady with the high number of follies. did she get pregnant with a lot of babies? erica any feelings yet? i have to tell you guys that i am getting a bit more worried as i think about the possibility of 6 eggs being fertilized. truly, what do you all think the chances are?

Susan, sorry to hear about your BFN. Keep your chin up and stay positive that you will have a BFP in no time.
From reading all your posts about how horrible your HSG's were, I guess I was pretty lucky that mine was virtually painless. I do have a wonderful RE, which I'm sure helps, but it's nice that I also have a very high tolerance to pain. I hope I have the same luck while giving birth. Teri, I think your chances of having 6 embies is highly unlikely. I think that you should go ahead with the iui. You said you want multiples so this is the best way for that to happen. Check with other threads on here to see if anyone else had 6 follies and what their results were. Ona, I think you need to click on my name to open my profile to see his photo. I don't know how to get the photo up by my name. Becca, I'm glad to hear that you mom is coming down for your operation. Why areyou getting your apendix out? Yeah Kathryn, you're showing! Any cravings yet? Mindi

Hey Mindi....he's going to take my appendix out bec last yr when i had my lap surgery, there was some endo growing on it or around it, and it had fused to my bowel, not that I would've known it, no pain or any physical sign/symptom that anything was up, but I asked him if he could just take it out since I don't need it and it kinda-sorta is in the way.....I was joking with him, like, let's do a Wal Mart one stop shop type deal....get the endo out, the fallopian tube, the appendix, shoot the dye up in the remaining tube, do it all while I'm under! LOL.
But seriously, it's partly bec I asked and partly bec of the endo.

Ona, I'm glad the interview went well!
Mindi, I checked out the photo. What a cutie! Teri, you have a greater chance of multiples with that many follicles, but it's far from a sure thing! Wow, I'm impressed. Okay with triplets? Honestly, the idea of twins makes me uneasy... triplets and I'd be totally panicked! There is a part of me that would want twins, partly because I've always wanted two (though not at once), but realistically speaking I know it would be very difficult for me to cope with. I'd prefer to have one. But hey, we're all different and what's good for me isn't necessarily good for you!

Hello again,
Well...playing with the tablets was a bust since I downloaded the stuff I need but Microsoft won't play nice.... Grrrrr... we hates Microsuck! Mindi... I had no idea we could see profiles on this thing. HEEHEE! I clicked on your name and VOILA! TOTALLY CUTE BABY PIC!!!! Teri...kudos to you if you can take on triplets. If I had like a trust fund or won the lotto I'd LOVE to have twins. I'd even be ok with triplets or quads if it weren't for the stretch marks.. but going it solo and having to work fulltime...as much as I'd love twins, I think it might make me go cuckoo for cocoa puffs. As to your question about 6 embies... way I see it, each egg has about a 25% chance of fertilizing under BEST case scenario... So it's like if you had to roll a four sided dice and come up with the same number (let's say number 1) six times in a row... possible? Sure. Probable? Not really... Now, the chances of having 6 rolls come up with the number 1 more than once is likely and it is even possible to roll the dice six times and not get a single 1. If you are ok with twins or triplets then I say go for it, but I do think that higher order multiples is something you should be prepared for as an unlikely but possible consequence. Becca...I love your one-stop-shopping approach. :-)

Ladies, so much to repsond to but I can barely type this... the caucus was a nightmare. Paranoid people everywhere, I got yelled at by an old woman and an ugly man (who later shook my hand and told me how helpful I was). I did not get back to my mother's house until 9pm! I was so busy helping I did not even get to vote in the caucus! A great experience though. I will not say exactly who I support but in Texas, you have to pick which party you are going to vote in for the Primary, and only Democrats have a caucus/convention after the polls close... So that may help answer the question. I will support whoever wins the democratic primary. Having the opportunity to vote for either an African American or Woman for President of the US is the most incredible thing ever. So historical!
How do I get my donor pic on my profile? I would love to share! Goodnight.

Hiya,
Wow Deej! Your story of caucuses makes me thankful I live in Virginia where we just vote in the primary for whatever party we register as...I actually, as you all may recall from my rambles, voted absentee ballot a few days before the election because I had to work on Tuesday. It was pretty simple. Ok, so to add a photo, go to User CP link that is in the top left corner and then once there you should find a link that says "edit profile" or "edit profile picture"...something like that. If you don't find it let me know and I can walk through it again and give you some detailed steps. Cheers, O.

i forgot to tell you ladies this last night. i found out yesterday that i have an iui baby in my class
. i found out because her mother came to talk to me about her behavorial issues & said she needed to explain something. i said okay & she proceeded to explain to me that she is this girls biological mother but she has no clue who her father is because she had some fertility issues & was artificially inseminated. i told her that i think its great because i am doing the same thing . she was very relieved that i understood. she said that i can talk to her anytime about it & that was great .

Wow Teri! That is super cool news about your student.
I was up early today because I left my horses in their stalls overnight and had to let them out first thing. We were supposed to have a bad thunderstorm so I didn't want them outside. So did any of you all hear the story about the identical triplets born in New York a few days ago? Way cool! Oh, don't know if any of you guys knew about this but IVF (especially when they use ICSI) is associated with a higher chance of having identical twins. I always suspected there was something about breaking through the egg mechanically to inject the sperm and breaking down the "shell" on the egg that was the cause of twins... found a bunch of scientific journal articles that confirmed this. Anyway, hope everyone is well... Erica, how is your TWW going??!? Cheers, O.

Hi Ladies,
I'm glad you all liked the photo of my "baby daddy". lol I love how the tip of his tongue sticking out of his mouth. He has dimples too! One characteristic that I was hoping to find in a donor and he just so happened to have them. Ona, totally fun to have our donor photos up. That is so cool that you have a photo of him in grade school. He does have a cute devilish grin. He's a cutie pie. Deej, your donor is ADORABLE. I wanna pinch his cute chubby cheeks. Becca, the one stop shopping is a great plan. I would do the same thing if I were in your shoes. Just be prepared to be in some discomfort for awhile.
