OMG TERI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!! That is such wonderful news! You must have been completely thrilled to see/hear the heartbeat. I can hardly believe it! You are officially sprogged!!!!! And already 6 weeks!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!! Just another 6 weeks til you hit that critical 12 week point. Not that there is a need to ask now, but what were your betas?

Kathryn, I agree 100% with what you said.

Ladies, I hope you all know that while I have no trouble with voicing my opinions they are just that...MY opinions. I only share them to offer another viewpoint not to imply that mine are better than yours. Especially when it comes to things like birth plans, we all have our own idea of what is "right" and it's what our own gutt says is the best for us, but we are all individuals, so what is "right" for me may not feel "right" for someone else.

You ladies have helped me so much and I don't want anyone to ever be hurt by anything I might say.

Also, and this is something I've had to deal with a lot working on computers all day, we all need to remember that we are just reading somebody's words in here and have to guess a lot regarding their tone, inflection, and true meaning. If I said "Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition" for example, and put the emphasis on SPANISH that would imply that perhaps you might expect inquisitions, just not Spanish ones... but if I put the emphasis on EXPECTS, then I could be implying that they happen all the time, they just aren't expected... see what I mean? These are just words on a page and are flat and dull and easy to misinterpret.

Anyway, I just want to state that my intention is never to hurt and I hope you will take that into account when interpreting my words.

Ona,I'm still waiting for my beta results which will come by phone later today.we could only see the heartbeat at this point, which my RE said was perfect for this point in my pregnancy,he also said that the baby's heart rate should increase between 7 and 8 weeks,so once that's happened,I get released to a regular ob/gyn.my RE said that my ob/gyn will be able to hear it around 9 or 10 weeks.I'm super happy!!!!!!!!and you did a great job on the list!

Oh-my-goodness, Teri!

We posted at the same time, and I didn't see your news until now!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!! I don't think there are enough exclamation points in the world to convey my excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will have to rely on other icons:

Kathryn.

P.S. -- Ona, if you had typed "no one expects the SPANISH inquisition," I would think you were channeling movies ... was that History of the World?

Kathyrn. Thank you. Very well said. While I appreciate everyones input. Only I know what is best for me. Just as everyone on this board knows what is best for them. I am no longer mad or hurt by anything that was said because I am sure It was said with the best of intentions. As for the Epidural. I totally agree with you. That is such a personal decision and as I am not big on having pain. I will probably ask for lots of pain meds!! Give me Morphine and Stadol during labor!!!(they are both short acting and perfectly safe to use) And I am saying that because they usually wont start the epidural until you are a 3-4 cm dilated and the contractions still will hurt. I am all for medical intervention for pain management.

Teri.. exciting news!!!!! I cant wait to read all your posts about the developing baby!!!!

A really hot cable guy just came to my door. And my dumb self was dressed in night clothes.. I am sure I looked ravishing..lmao.. He couldnt run fast enough when I told him that I had already fixed the problem..sigh

Teri, you've made my day today!

On a totally unrelated note, I know I've been kvetching a bit about my dad not really being there for me and not asking about the baby or if he could do anything. Well, he surprised me by getting me the baby's car seat and shipping it to my house. It was waiting on the front porch when I got home last night. So no more kvetching ... at least for a while!

Kathryn.

Aww Kathryn! That is really sweet of your dad.

Agree with you yet again. Teri, you made my day too!

So, good news this end is that after MUCH harassing my insurance finally is processing my claims. My doctor's office had sent the medical records THREE times and they were still saying they hadn't received it. So I've basically been calling them every day bugging them and even asked them for a fax number so I could fax the records. Well, after they claimed not to receive those I threatened to go to the BBB and Depts of Health, and Commerce and then all of a sudden they were calling my doctor's office and getting them to refax and now they have "all the documents they need" and are processing my claims. They said they will expedite the process so I should hear back in two weeks. I'll believe that when I see it.

In more news, my counterpart at work is going on a 4 week vacation so it's been a scramble for him to get me everything I will need while he is away because he's totally disorganized. Added to that fun, my payroll check BOUNCED! I have been trying to sort that out for days and I was so upset I couldn't even post that news on here. My boss finally wired me the money for my paycheck for May...now I am a wreck because these are the pitfalls of working for a tiny company and I am worried what will happen NEXT month...so, just trying not to become a total basket case. Meanwhile bills are falling overdue and my account is looking very sad.

All right, Teri! That's GREAT news! Woohoo!!!

Kathryn, that was decent of your dad. My dad doesn't do much to show his support of me (never says anthing, etc) but he does show it through his actions (eventually). I'm glad he did something nice for you.

Ona, way to go on the insurance. Hope they come through this time. Not so good on the bouncing paycheque though... my company is small too, and frequently runs short of funds. Thankfully the employees always come first (and I spend about 1/4 of my time making sure the cash flows the way it's supposed to!). At least I have some control over it...

Well, ladies, I had my pre-op checkup today and I passed with flying colours (those were the words the doc used, anyway). So I'm all approved and ready to go for the surgery! Yay!

And I even stopped at my RE's office on the way back to work and paid my cryo-storage fees so I know my "boys" will be ready and waiting for me when I'm ready to go again.

Nurse, I agree with the other ladies here. No one was trying to say that taking all of those meds was wrong, we were just asking you to explain to us why you were going to be taking. You had never mentioned feeling the need to take anti-anxiety meds so it came to us as a schock, therefor the reply to taking Xanex was a thought because you only take it when you need it as opposed to taking an anti-anxiety such as Prozac or Paxil. Just to let you know, I have been taking Celexa for over 6 years now and it has been one of the best things I ever did for myself. I take a very low dose 20mg at this point and have no reason to go off of it since I am a happy camper on it. I don't plan to go off of it during my pregnancy either. I may see if I can handle going off of it in my 3rd trimester as I heard that that would be recommended. Also, there are a lot of women on this site who have been on anti-anxiety and anti-depressants for years. Again, everyone here was just wondering why you were put on these meds as you never explained why. This is the best place to be as honest an open as you care to be as we are all nothing but supportive of each other. And if we disagree on things, it's not in a "we don't like you" kind of way, it's just that we are all strong women who have our own opinions and who feel comfortable expressing our views.....It's just as Ona said in one of her posts here about how we all her in deciding that going with donor sperm was something to consider even though she was totally against it. When we all gave our points of view on it, she listened, accepted our views and then she followed up and did some research on it and decided that going with a donor was what she was going to do. That is what we are here for, to support, share our views on ttc, and to cheer each up when we are down as well as to give a cheer when good news has been posted.

Ok, now on to giving to god news. Teri, you already know that I am on cloud 9 with your great news. Kathryn, so glad to hear that your dad sent you such a nice gift. Wait until he sees his new grandson, he will totally be there for you I have no doubt. Jen, I am so happy that you are finally having your pre-op appt. I can't wait to hear how it went. Jen, I love how you always update your photos Where are you with u/s and meds?

It is a gorgeous day here in Los Angeles and I am going to relax this weekend and enjoy it by the pool. I am now 2dpiui and I am feeling really good. A few twinging pains going on. Kinda of hurts to go pee, so I am peeing cautiously. I have been pretty from the prometrium, and I get a dizzy spell here and there, but no nausea from it like I did on my last IUI. I hope it stays that way
