Who is at Work By Themselves!

Well, I am here at work by myself!
I am trying to find stuff to do.

Come on 4:30 pm (CST) so I can go home.

I think the phone has rang 3 times.

Hanan

PS. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hanan, I actually took a vacation day today just so I would not be at work by myself! At least it will be an easy day for you and you have us to entertain you!

We are off today but it's unpaid. Our company just runs into such a slow down at the end of the year and everyone in the plant (not the office) was complaining about coming in Monday, being off Tuesday and then back on Wednesday. So we are off today. However, last week there were only three of us in the office at any given time during the week......so boring!

LOL!

thank you... You are right about all of you entertaining me. I already took 2 weeks off earlier in the month, so I suppose this is my pay back!

I suppose I could look at it like I am getting paid to sit here and read stuff on the forum!!!

LOL.

PS-By The Way-

I will be alone at home too. DH is working from 4:30 pm to 1:30 am.

It was like that for me on Christmas Eve and Christmas too... Eventhough we spent the day time together, it just does not feel the same... But then again, it is like that every year...

You would think I would be used to it by now...

LOL...

Maybe soon, I will have a lil one to spend time with in the evenings.

H.

What does your husband do? My DH used to work nights and so I was very used to spending time alone. Now he works days but that takes him out until 7 p.m. so the evenings don't seem to last as long but it's nice to have him home. I did spend my birthday alone a couple weeks ago, and here I thought for once I wouldn't have to!

Hanan, do you have a book to read? That is what I'll probably be doing from Wednesday until I go on maternity leave. Since we've been so slow and I hate to sit without anything to do everything is caught up and ready for this coming year so I really am not going to have anything to do when I get back on Wednesday.

I agree that the nights seem to be shorter, but I know you would not trade having him home to have dinner with him either. Well, just remember you won't have to spend your Birthday alone after March 22nd! So no more birthday's alone.

Hanan, do you have a book to read? Not here at work, but I am sure I can find something- like enter blood pressure data into a spreadsheet! (what fun!)That is what I'll probably be doing from Wednesday until I go on maternity leave. I forgot what do you do again. I know we had a thread about what everyone does for a living. Since we've been so slow and I hate to sit without anything to do everything is caught up and ready for this coming year so I really am not going to have anything to do when I get back on Wednesday.
Wednesday, here will also be slow again, but more people will be in my office. But that is ok. I am really looking forward to the new year. I just have to figure out how to cook the black eyed peas. Any ideas? I know it is a southern thing.

When do you plan on going on Maternity leave?

H.

I plan on working until I have the baby. With me and my brother my mom worked up to the time she went into labor which with both of us was in the middle of the night when her water broke. So it's a standing joke that since I'm due March 22nd that I can work through March 20th, I'll have the 21st off for Good Friday and I can go at that time. My mom and I work for the same company so everyone there has known me since I was 9 months old so it's nice to have that comfortable banter sometimes. I work in customer service and accounting so nothing too strenuous. Payroll is done once a week and takes me maybe two hours start to finish. Invoicing is done daily in the afternoon after shipping leaves. Other then that it comes and goes with the customer orders so unless my customers start piling in the orders I'm going to be bored out of my mind.
