Sticky vibes

Good morning!

I recently noticed that there are two different kinds of sticky vibes - one is a boy sticky vibes and the other is a girl sticky vibes, and I was wondering if it would be possible to have a unisex sticky vibes as well.

Thank you for your consideration of the idea, and please know I mean no disrespect or discourtesy in asking.

Thank you!

I have no problem adding smiles/icons - do you know where I can find one that isn't gender specific?

If you'd like to link me to some things, I can take a look and see what we can do.

Just let me know.

I'll see what I can do.

I didn't realize that you didn't make them, but I definitely don't mind seeing what I can come up with.

Thank you for your consideration.

Brandy- I changed the sticky vibes to yellow so it is non-gender. I will email you the new one. Thanks.

Edited to say- I cannot email it or PM it to you because the site doesn't allow attachments. So I will put it here:

Here is the gender neutral yellow version.
Can it replace the blue sticky vibes position on the main post page?

Better yet, I animated it also. So now it alternates between green and yellow (thanks to Dude).

I need to see the original license to use for the artwork...

If it's an edited version of the original 'sticky vibes' emoticon - then we can't use it - because the license says we agree not to alter/change - and while we didn't alter/change, someone did, ya know?

I realize this is complicated - but because we're a business, we have to make sure we follow license guidelines to the T.

It is not complicated - we are all intelligent. But it would have helped to know that ahead of time, ya know?

Um, well, in the interest of snarkiness - I did ask to be linked to some things...because these are things we look for when making the decision (which is why having the link is helpful, as it allows me to look at license information)...

I didn't mean that it was to complicated for the members, just that the process itself is complicated.

You really should have mentioned that we couldn't change board icons.

Thanks for your input Kathelen. I'll keep that in mind when future requests are made regarding changes.

Um, unfortunately, I think the fault here is mine, for pretending that I had some idea what I was doing. (For the record, I don't.) I should have asked for more clarification and/or guidance.

OK, so there is a license issue with icons someone else has made. That definitely makes sense. The icons would be someone else's intellectual property and protected by various rules and laws. (As it should be.)

So in thinking about this, several ideas have occurred to me. (Brandy, please feel free to weigh in here, any suggestions you have would be helpful to me.)

1- We/I can find a sticky vibe icon/emoticon that is gender neutral whose licensing agreement would allow it to be used on this forum.

2- We/I could contact the owner of the currently used icons and ask for them to either make a gender neutral one or perhaps one that could alternate between blue and pink.

3- We/I could make one, or have one made, that is not a version of the current one, so that we aren't violating any licensing agreements or intellectual property laws. (If we did this, would we need to get a licensing agreement as well?)

Any other ideas? Suggestions?

Thank you again for your consideration in this matter.
