Tender Breast
Hey ladies, I need a little help. I am taking spironolactone nad Levothyroxine for about 6 weeks now. I did read that they can cause breast tenderness but this is a little crazy I can't walk up or down stairs without them hurting. They are tender all the way under my armpits. What I am wondering is if this is normally the severity of the tenderness/pain or if I should be a little worried?
I know one of them you have to stop if you think yu might be preggo. I don't know if that is the case because I have never O'd in my life. Ashley

Hi Ashley!
I have no real answers for you, but want you to know you are not alone in this journey! I believe the swelling might just be your lymph nodes...it looks like breast swelling and tenderness is a side effect of the spironolactone you're taking. I would suspect this is normal and not to be worried about, but that's just my 2 cents! If you are concerned (!) you might be PG, go ahead and POAS to ease your mind! Stranger things have happened!I also have a thyroid issue, but mine is overactive. I believe this might have been caused by my prior unsuccessful fertility cycles (it was normal one year ago), and exasperated by the metformin I take for PCOS. I've stopped all the drugs till I can meet with my endocrinologist next week. I think they were all really messing with one another, so said enough is enough! Good luck to you!

I think I am going to make an appointment to see and endocrinologist. I too am taking Metformin 1500mg and wonder if they could be doing the same thing. I too was normal a year or so ago, so this is all really new to me.
