Lvls not really moving on meds.
I am so confused and now I don't know where to turn. As you can tell from my siggie I was started on levothyroxine the begining of April to bring my TSH down from 3.58. I just got my lvls back from my 6 week follow up and the lvls are only down to 3.32. I told her that I was more tired then I was before so she stopped it all together. I still am not having normal cycles and/or ovulating. I don't know if I should just deal with it or if I should get a second opinion. I know I have read that the best lvls are .2 - 3.0. and she says that I am in the normal range.

Did you ever get an answer on this? Have you had a more recent TSH result? I don't know what kind of doctor you see, but if you're not seeing an Endocrinologist, get a referral to one (or go out on your own looking, if your insurance lets you.)
My old primary care doctor just prescribed me Levo and as soon as my TSH started dropping (I was around 6 or 7 when diagnosed) she didn't care anymore. I went to an Endo because I am also diabetic and just would prefer to receive specialized care in those areas particularly because we've wanted to conceive. Anyway, my Endo switched my prescription to Synthroid (on the generic Levo, the pharmacy frequently changes manufacturers which can decrease the effectiveness of your treatment as different manufacturers use different fillers) and wouldn't rest until my TSH was under 2.0. He told me that unless you actually start to FEEL improved, you likely are not there yet. So if you still feel crummy and your current doctor feels that you are in "normal range" and doesn't want to do more for you, get a second opinion! Also, "normal range" for TSH varies per doctor. Endocrinologists usually use a more recent standard of normal which actually lowers the bar for what a normal range should be.
