Well I just got back from my first endocrinologist appointment. I feel pretty good knowing that this is most likely the cause of my 2 m/c, but looks like we are going to now have to wait until my cycle in March before we can do the BD. My next appointment is Feb 21, to make sure that my levels are normal. So looks like I will be be WAITING . Oh well we have been trying 2 years, so what's two more months!

i have hypo thyroid too ... going for blood work and ultrasound before iui starts ... hsg test is scheduled for Jan 10

i've been trying for over two years and had two miscarriages ... one was a blighted ovum

i too have discovered within the last year that i have hypothroidism...finding out about it did put my first IUI on hold...i remember being pretty upset at the fact that it made the wait longer...we had to put everything on hold until the levels were better...it took 3 months...but now that it is under control with synthroid daily i am glad to know about it before it caused major problems...B

I know that wait, not to mention the long time it takes to figure out there is a thryoid problem!!! I had a tumor in my thyroid giving me hyper-thyroid, I had surgery to remove the thryoid lobe and then of course I got hypo- thyroid

Finally this month my levels have balanced out and we are moving forward and I am finally excited! I am hear to listen if you ever want to talk.

I have hypo-thyroidism too and before going for IVF I had to wait a around 5 months so that my levels reach the required level.But anirtak,u r right,whats a few months wait when we have already been waiting for years for it.If this wait is a positive step toward getting pg,its worth it.Have a nice time meanwhile.All the best for you next attempt!

Add me to the list. I have hypothyroidism, have had since Dec 2002 which ironically is also the same month we started trying to conceive. You definitely want to make sure your levels are in check, it's the best thing for you and for your baby.
