Thyroid question.

How do you know if you have a thyroid problem?
Is there a blood test a person do?

Yes there is a blood test. Just ask your RE or gyn. to run the test if they haven't already.

Thyroid tests are pretty standard so you shouldn't have a problem if you ask your doc to test you. Also, you may want to ask for thyroid antibody tests. Even though your thyroid tests may turn out normal...if you have elevated thyroid antibodies, it may be contributing to the BFN's. It's worth a shot...good luck!

Yes there is a series of blood tests that can be done to determine if your thyroid activity is normal. One just looks at your T4 and TSH hormones while others get more in depth. Your RE or your primary care physician can run the tests. Do you have any symptoms that you are concerned about?

A blood test can tell you all about it.However, there are a few tell-tale signs too..your skin would be dry ,u would be losing hair(however,we all lose hair all the time, thyroid or not),you would be tired sooner and there will be visible a change in weight.
