Hi - thyroid and charting question

Hi,
Has anyone with thyroid problems done BBT and did you see your temps above/below normal due to the thyroid issue? I am charting now and my temps are accross the board too low which was not the case when I charted for my son. I read that can mean hypothyroidism and I was just wondering if anyone has actually seen this on a chart? we know i have hormone issues but I am wondering how far they go....
thanks!

Due to my underactive thyroid I never bothered with BBT. My temps are always below normal and never consistent so I didn't figure it would be worth it for me. But that was just my decision. Do you have any symptoms of hypothyroidism?

hi

Yes, i have a lot of the signs and thyroid problems are big in my family. I have had some eye problems and also a really bad 6 months after my first son was born that doctors were sure were thyroid but its never shown up as a problem so i don't know... i just found it odd my temps were so low and that it was not a problem before. I am sure the low prog and low tems are related but I am not really sure what to make of all of it. hopefully the doctors can figure something out.

Hi, I was just wondering what your doctors have said about your issue with your temps when you chart? I had the same issue and my doc told me to not bother charting, so I stopped charting. I do have a hypotyroid, but because my lab numbers are still within normal range, though just barely, my doc won't treat my thyroid. I'm wondering if your doc used your charts to pinpoint and issue and if they treated you. Please let me know what happened.

Thanks
