Exclamation TSH 8.20 ? Should i worry ?

I have been told my TSH reading is high(8.2,day 3)but have no symptoms and no family history of Hypothroid.Actually i really dont know the symptoms of high level TSH

My TSH in 2007 is 2.88 ,which is good i suppose,and 5.509 in 2006 and t4,free(direct) is 0.98.
Does day 3 TSH is high, becoz i was tested on day 3.

Why did it increase from 2.88 to 8.2 ,does that mean ,i am Hypothroid.

And also, does this affect conception. And what foods(diet habits) should be considered to lower the levels.

And any presriptions on this,if so,which doctor should i see,(i mean what type of specialist).

Please let me know.

Yes, it ABSOLUTELY does affect fertility. RE's like seeing TSH levels between 1-2. Have you been feeling tired? Your TSH level is very high. You should see an Endocronologist and have him prescribe Synthroid. I wouldn't cycle until your level is controlled. It'll take a few months to bring the levels down to where they should be.

I have Hypothyroidism and my RE (and PCP for that matter) insists on my levels being between 1-2...YES...tell your Dr. to do something about it!!!!!!

Good Luck..
