You are still VERY early! I wish you the best!!!
Out of curiousity...did you get tested as to why you had multiple m/c's? I am in that testing process...and just curious. |
|
||||
|
yes, I had the full recurrent m/c workup (incl genetic testing) by my RE (started seeing her in April).
She said that they couldn't find anything that was causing the m/cs. I do have a short luteal phase (10d) but she didnt seem too concerned as she said many women have successful preg with this, and that progesterone is the right treatment for that. She suggested baby aspirin this time as some studies have shown that taking it during your cycle helps strengthen your uterine lining and therefore helps with implantation. My problem seems to occur at the implantation stage, things don't seem to get off to a good start. I hope this one STICKS!

Have they checked you for APS? The tests would include antinuclear antibodies, anticardiolipins, and lupus anticoagulent. APS causes early (and late) miscarriage and my haematologist explained that it also causes "disordered implantation" which made perfect sense to me because I always seemed to miscarry within two weeks of a BFP.

I just wanted to wish you good luck!!!!
I don't have experience with loosing them that quick, all mine passed away just after 7 weeks, right after they developed a heartbeat and they assumed mine were due to random chromosomal problems. But miracles do happen and my latest one is holding on good and strong. I'm praying the same for you!!! |

Starflower ~ I hope this one sticks and that you don't have to go through this anymore. Do you have a BETA scheduled?

guys, my beta #1 was 315!!!!!
at only 12 DPO, less than 4 from my LMP! I am giddy over this - I was totally expecting her to say "40" or something like that! My last three pregnancies never got above 130, that was like at the 5.5w mark. I am trying not to get my hopes up, but it is hard!!! I have my second beta tomorrow (14 DPO) and they said it should be above 600...and if so, they will schedule an ultrasound!!!! Keep sending those good thoughts and prayers, I'm against all odds here with my history and I want to be one of the lucky ones!!! And, I hope that this will be a successful story to give others hope!

It sounds EXTREMELY promising. You either have one good strong baby in there or maybe twins!!!
That is WONDEFUL news!!! Congradulations!!! |
|
||||
|
Darn it, I should have read your signature, but is this a natural cycle? It does sound like you might be blessed with twins in there...... Praying for you Starflower, a miracle would be nice these days!!!!!

This was a natural cycle!
Funny enough though, I had the prescription for clomid written and was going to try it next cycle since we missed the window this time. I think I am still in shock that the number is THAT high!

My second beta was 603, the nurse said that is excellent (just about doubled in 2 days) so I don't need any more bloodwork...and they will call to schedule an ultrasound after Oct 11.
There is nothing worse than waiting for test results! My stomach has been in knots since Sat. I am being cautiously optimistic but I must say that I do feel a lot better after getting that second beta. ![]()
