Hi every one I am new here. My fiance and I went thru a loss this past week 6/16. We were devastated but ready to try again soon. I was given a green light for intercourse as soon as I stopped bleeding and felt comfortable. They (emergency room) never said anything about possibility of conception after loss. I will be making an appointment to see an obgyn soon, as it usually takes a few weeks to get in to see one. What is the likely hood of conception after a loss? (we actually made love this moring..but I am sure it's too soon) When will I get my next period? I have so many qeustions..

I have an 8 year old that I don't see because I had her when I was "too young" and this was my first m/c. All I want is to be a mom..it means everythign to me. Thank you

First off, I am truly sorry for your loss. It is a heartbreaking thing to have to go through.

As far as the possibility of conception after loss can happen. Most Dr. suggest waiting up to 3 cycles before ttc again. When I had my last loss the OB said it is physically best to wait at least 1 cycle and the reason most OB's suggest waiting 3 is to allow for emotional healing. We were told to use contraceptives (condoms) until we had passed that 1st cycle. But everyone is different. I would suggest calling your Dr. and asking what they think.

If you were to get pregnant again before your next cycle it just makes dataing the pregnancy more difficult since most OB's go off of date of last menstrual period.
