I want to start TTC again =0(

I was supposed to wait at least 2 months before TTC again after our miscarriage last month. (I miscarried naturally no meds or D& C required).

I'm about finished with the first month of birth control pills so I know will be on her way soon.

I guess part of me just wishes I could just call the doctor on day 1 of my cycle and start TTC again.

I hate the thought of having to go through another month without even trying.

Anyone TTC just a month after a miscarriage?
Do you think I should take on the risk and start trying again or should I wait out this next month?

I had 2 natural m/c's. I was with my ob/gyn at the time. She told me that there was no reason why I couldn't try as soon as I got my next cycle. There was no reason to wait, unless I wasn't emotionally ready. So, after both m/c's, I tried clomid the next month.

My gyn told me the only reason to wait for a couple of cycles is so if you get pregnant they will be able to accurately date the pregnancy from the first day of your last period. That being said she still asked me to wait a couple of months. So confusing!

I was told there was no way they would let us try the next month and that we were to wait the full three months. Their reasoning was that, my uterus may not have been healed completely and I needed to give it the chance to get back into baby making mode. However after my chemical pregnancy I was told we could try straight away, I opted not to as I figured I'd blame myself if I were to get pg and miscarry right away.

I personally believe our doctors tell us what they do for a good reason. I hope that you will listen to your doctor and hope for a BFP as soon as possible for you after that!

I feel more than ready emotionally to move foreward. Physically I feel great. I miscarried naturally and the bleeding/spotting only lasted about a week and a half. Before the baby even aborted itself...it had been dead in there for about 2 weeks (died shortly after 7 weeks -but had always measured a week behind so it was really only 6 weeks) and I started miscarrying at 9 weeks. When they did the ultrasound and found that it had died two weeks before they had already done a HCG level and it was already back down to like 115 or something like that. That was almost 4 weeks ago. So I'm sure my numbers are back to zero by now. Don't you think?

I think I'm going to wait until comes and then call the doctor and ask him what he thinks. If he's real certian that I should wait another month than I will. But I hope he will let us get started again, instead.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.
I was told to wait a few cycles but I think my RE wanted to make sure I gave myself enough time to grieve and get my body back to normal. I was more than ready by the second cycle but decided to wait until the third cycle. Good luck to you girl! I hope you get a bfp soon! Hugs to you!!

Well this would be one full cycle right?

Having the miscarriage/period.....then BCP's for a month....then starting period again.

Is that what you mean by one full cycle?

Out of the blue my fertility office just called me this morning...talk about coincidence....lol...anways once I was done talking about the insurance issues we've been having I left a message on the nurses line to have them ask the doctor if one month was long enough to wait.

So now I'm just waiting on the call.

I just don't get why so many people are told different things....some are told you don't have to wait, some 1month, 2 months, 3 months and some even more than that.

LOL...well I've waited my month....I'm ready to start again...even if there is still some what of a risk....thought I'm sure the risk is down anyways since it's not like I got pregnant that very next month.....

Or do they not consider the miscarriage/period the start of that next months cycle?

Would this months actually be considered the first cycle after a miscarriage? I'm confused.

I looked at it like....this would be my second cycle since the miscarriage....but maybe I'm looking at it wrong?????

URG!!! now I'm really frustrated.

When the nurse called back I told her about the miscarriage and the BCP's and that I'm about to start the nextcycle ans asked if it would be ok to start TTC again.

Her first responce was yes, of course.

Then I went into detail and told her that the doctor had originally given me 2 months supply of BCP's and that I just wanted to make sure it was ok to start trying again...or if there was still a higher risk of miscarriage.

Then all of a sudden she had a immediate responce....No...you have to wait 2 months for your body to get back to normal. You have two wait 2 full cycles.

What? How can she go from saying yes....no problem kind of thing to ...absolutely not you HAVE TO wait 2 months. That doesn't make sense to me. I really wish I would have just askd her to ASK the doctor...since she doesn't seem to have any clue.

Oh well, I'll just wait another month and then try again. Maybe it will be better????

I think she said yes, until she realized that your doctor said No two cycles! And the reason she changed her answer is because the doctor is the specialist and she is not, there for she can't go against what the doctor told you, kwim?

I read that you have PCOS, are you on metformin or glucophage or anything? Just wondering, cause they say being on these drugs cuts our chances at another miscarriage by something like 70%.

Yes I've been on metformin since November 06.

Well this morning arrived.

I've been kinda depressed the last few days as I try to accept the fact that we can't go back to trying this cycle.

But now that she's here. At least I'm that much closer to next cycle.

This month is our 9 year anniversary and my 28th birthday. I think that's why I really wanted to get back to trying this month....to at least give us another chance. I just hate that time keeps slipping by. I really wanted to have our baby in our arms by our 10th anniversary. So hopefully we'll get pregnant again REAL soon, and this time it will STICK!!!
