Issues after D&C

had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks in Dec and a D&C done. Almost 6 weeks later, I had my first period, which continued for 18 days and I had to have a second D&C for retained tissue. My doctor said that it would take another 4 to 6 weeks for my period to show. My hcg levels tested zero or less than 2 7 days after the second D&C. I bled for 1 day after my 2nd D&C, then started a period on day 9 after 2nd D&C, or 28 days after my first post miscarriage period. I've heard that a D&C for cleaning out your lining doesn't change where you are in your cycle. Is this a period or something else wrong? I am not ovulating and my doctor said it would take 4 weeks for my period, no sooner.

I'm so sorry you had to go through a D&C-twice. I only had one after my m/c. But it did take around 8 weeks to get a period. I had weird breakthrough bleeding about 4 weeks after, but it was not my period. I think your body takes a while to readjust after a miscarriage. My doctor gave me some kind of drug to bring on my period(can't remember the name). Sorry if I wasn't much help. Can you talk to your doctor about your concerns?

Heart Life after D&C

I had my D&C procedure just 2 weeks ago and I experienced intense cramping and bleeding. I think it does take awhile for your body to readjust to normal especially after two. My doctor (whom stuck by me every minute ) said that your period should regain itself a month after the procedure, when a full cycle can be possible. But everyone is different, and its quite hard to tell how someone may react after something as emoionally and physically draining as a D&C prcedure. Just pray, and everything will be okay.

I had a D&C yesterday and had cramps for many hours. I took some Motrin and I am better today. I only bled yesterday but today is minimal. I have an appointment with RE in 3 weeks to check that everything is Ok.
