Well, here's the scoop. The nurse called a few minutes ago after talking to the RE. I'll have to have an u/s next Wednesday and also call them everyday between now and then to give them an update on how much I'm bleeding. So far it's still heavy spotting, but if full flow starts my cycle will be canceled.

ROSIEB - DONT GIVE UP !!!! It was probably just a fluke !! My acupunturist ( yes, I went to a new one today ) told me male's should beef up on B12 to improve sperm quality.

As for me, I'm going to be off line for the next few days. My MIL passed away yesterday morning. It's been such a devastating two days for us. She came through her tracheotomy with flying colors on Monday and was doing fine when we left her. We got the call at 4:30 am that she had a heart attack and they couldn't revive her. We really never saw this coming. It's like a bad dream that we are waiting to wake up from. The funeral is on Saturday so I will try to check in with everyone on Sunday.

I'll be doing a lot of praying during the church services so you know you will all be in my prayers!

Joanna, I am so sorry about MIL, it's been so rough for you lately. to you and DH.

Rosie, I hope that the next SA has much better numbers, don't give up yet. There are so many factors that could've made the count smaller. Less of a build up for one, I should know because we have had that problem, and more days of build up give stronger numbers, not a week but 3 days gave us better numbers, now many days did DH wait? I really think that this was just a bad sample. I think that the next one will be better for sure

Casb77, how has the bleeding been, any lighter? It looks like nature will be making your decisions for you regarding your choices. I hope that your one icebaby is a toughy and you get your this time!!!!

I had a little bleeding overnight but so far no more than a pink spot on the TP today. I'll still have that u/s on Wednesday to check things out, but don't have to call again unless the bleeding starts back up again.

I started the 2cc's of PIO last night and then had another this morning. My first shot HAD TO be between 8pm-11pm last night. Since it works best for us to do the shots in the morning, we started that schedule up today. I wonder if that had anything to do with the bleeding stopping? Anyway, I'm not a fan of the 2cc shots. For one thing, it seems to take forever for DH to push in the plunger when the syringe is that full. I also now feel your pain to anyone who felt beaten and battered after the shots. I tried all my tricks from last time, but my bum is still sore. We did the opposite side this morning because I couldn't imagine sticking a needle into the deep muscle bruise I got from the shot last night, but I'll just have to suck it up tomorrow morning. If it keeps up like this I'll ask about splitting the dose into 1cc morning and night shots. I had almost no problems with that dose last time. The things we do. . .

CASB, I know those progestrone shot's are pretty crappy ! But by the end of our last cycle I wasnt to fazed by them.

I went to my new acupunturist yesterday - I think I hit a gold mind He's great. He's semi-retired but has so much background in chinese medicine. I sort of told him about my prior experience but I didnt want him to think I was a crazy patient either !! He told me everything he was doing and what it was for. He said my pulses show I have to much blood and not enough energy ? He's literally been all over the world studying this stuff.
So does this happen all the time ... A few needles really felt weird going in - like it made my leg jump, he said he was hitting my QI ( che ) ?

I started reading "The Fertility Cure" .. This is the first book on IF that I would actually recommend reading !! Has anyone else read it ? I've only read about a fourth of it, but it has been great so far.
It sort of gave me new hope

Kelli - Martha Stewart had an acupuncturist on her show the other day. They were talking the audience through the whole process while Martha was getting the needles put in her. There was one in her head that she said made her right thumb tingle. It seemed to be normal, but maybe they just didn't want to freak out on tv. One thing that twerked me off was the Dr. from Mt. Sinai they had on taking questions from the audience. The very first question was from a woman asking if AP could help her conceive her #2. The Dr. actually said that because the vast majority of infertility is caused by stress that AP could absolutely help because it helps you to relax. I wanted to punch him. "Vast majority" my a$$!

About the books, I've heard of so many books, like The Fertility Cure and Is Your Body Baby Friendly and books about fertility diets, etc. I'd be totally willing to read and follow any of those plans, but has anyone ever heard of a book that helps tubal issues? We have no idea why they're blocked, but it seems like no diet would make a difference for me?

Hi Everyone. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I can only say please keep them coming. I really didn't think this weekend could get any tougher but just when we concluded the services for my MIL at the cemetery we received the horrible news that my MIL's brother passed away in his sleep. We all saw him the evening before at the funeral parlor and he didn't look well and we were all concerned when he didn't make the funeral but we never expected to get the news that we did. One of his daughters left a message that morning to say they were having problems and were going to miss the funeral but we didn't get the message until after someone called his house and received the terrible news. Our poor Aunt is devastated. She just lost her older sister and younger brother in a matter of 4 days. We are all just in a state of shock. Just when we thought we could start to grieve and move forward now we have another funeral to attend. I just pray that the family stays strong and holds it together. It's a lot to take in one week. I know they say God doesn't give us more than we can handle but this is definitely a test for me and DH.

Well in the middle of all of this I got so I've officially started my FET cycle. I start taking 2mg of estrace 2x per day. I go back next Sunday for b/w & u/s. Now it's just wait and see.

Rosie: There must be some quirky reason why your DH's SA was low. I'm sure he will be fine next week. Just make sure there is no until then! Try not to stress too much. Stress will lower the count so you both need to try to stay calm and relax. When is the test? Keep us posted.

Casb I'm sorry to hear about the bleeding. I'm for you. Hope you get good news on Wednesday and the PIO shots get easier for you.

Kelli I'm so glad to hear you like your new acupuncturist. A little tingling and jumping is normal. The other day she made my hand go numb.

Journey: Best of luck tomorrow when they officially confirm your . I hope you get nice high numbers.

I have been scanning everyones posts but haven't really had much to say!
DH and I decided we are def going to do natural cyles. AF is 4 or 5 days late (for me that makes 35 days ago) and I have taken 4 preg tests all neg which is probably a good thing since we have been having an awful lot of fun on the weekends lately! I am a bit concerned though because I have never been late before but I keep thinking that some of you have said that your second period after IVF was really late? Does this sound familiar to anyone? I am hoping I dont have a really big cyst again.
We need to make a break down again of where everyone is at! I have lost track again!!!

Hello Ladies. Not much going on with me at the moment. DH and I are still just getting back to normal and really, I hate to say, still dealing with the dissapointment. I think it's being dragged out for us because we don't have any plans yet for another IVF, or anything really. We are at a bit of a roadblock. No $ to do anything, we're still paying off bills from the last time. Sooooo, just trying to live and get by. My MIL sent me 3 books, a CD and a Yoga video. I think I'm overwhelmed and don't know where to start so I haven't yet. I will soon, I think I just wanted to do some non-fertility things for a while.

So I guess my update is "In between". Thanks for putting the list together Kelli. Also, I haven't read The Infertility Cure but I've heard good things about it. Unfortunately that's not one of the ones MIL sent to me.

Jnails, so sorry to hear about your second loss. Quite a rough patch for you and DH. Try to be strong and positive, you've got good things coming your way, like Journey said, your Rainbow is coming.

casb, I'm glad the bleeding stopped. I'm with you on the tubal issue books, I keep looking but haven't seen anything addressing that specifically. I'm not sure diet would help either but I think Chinese medicine sounds promising from what I've read. It's the only thing I've seen that addresses tubal blockages. It concentrates on blood flow which I believe is very important, as well as mind-body connection and chi and all that. I'm thinking I am going to pursue that along with accupuncture. I printind out a list of CM doctors in my area, just need to make an appointment...

nething4mybaby, AF was late this month for me too, 4 days. I'm not sure if this one is considered my first AF after IVF though because I got my AF 2 days before my BETA last month. Either way, they are definitely not as consistent as they used to be, I was like clockwork every 28 days before all this.

Journey, let us know how the BETA goes!!

Hi everyone. Back to work and really crabby, I think that starting the BCPs on Wednesday may have something to do w/it but I didn't feel this cranky last time, not even from the injections!
Does anyone still have sensitivity from the PIO shots?
I still feel mild soreness on both sides of my butt, when touched or even when going up or down stairs, how weird.

Tree, taking some time to regroup and figure things out could be a good thing, sometimes ideas pop into our heads when we are not pressured for solutions. If I ever finish my Infertility Cure, I'm a very lazy reader, I will be happy to send it to you!

Journey, I can't wait to hear your Beta #s, for nice high numbers!!!
Nicki, was 2-3 days late for me too this 2nd time after AF, and I am usually like clockwork. I think the hormones play a part of that, even weeks later. We sure pumped lots of them into our bodies.

Casb77, I'm glad the bleeding has stopped. The shots are so scary, especially w/the giant needles, I'm the biggest whimp, I hate any of needles, even blood test, I beg for the butterfly!!!

Kelli, thanks so much for the list, you did a great job! I'm glad you love your new acupuncturist, I wish I could find one for myself close to home.

Joanna, I'm so sorry for your losses for you and your family. I'm hoping you will have something wonderful to concentrate on this month, a successful cycle.
