Absolutely. After I got my yesterday, someone reached out to me for advise on something else, and she was really hurting. Although I was hurting myself I know that I felt a little different after speaking to her and helping her through her very different situation. Sometimes we go through to help others - if we continue to press to make it "through" - we can succeed.

My DH and I agreed as well that we aren't telling ANYBODY this go round. Thank God for the thread.

Hi guys! I've been reading this thread since it started, but finally got the urge to post today.

I can totally relate to everyone who said that it is hard for them to talk to the people they have told about their IVF experience. It took me awhile to talk to a couple people & there are others I still haven't returned calls to. You know, I had never really wanted to tell anyone in the first place because I always say, "don't count your chickens before they hatch". But my DH, on the other hand, told everyone! He told the neighbors, his whole family, anyone who would listen practically! He even showed them the pics of the embryos! I understand that he was happy & excited, but ...................I don't know.

I think I was one of the first to get my BFN's in July & I am still trying to get out of this depression. I am finally going to get my hair done (right now). I had kinda let myself go there during the last part of my cycle & as you know things didn't better after that BFN.

Well, I could ramble on & on about how much it sucks to get the BFN but then I'll be late to my hair appt.

I'll check in with you gals later!

Hey good morning, I was thinking about that on my way to work, how do I avoid sharing round 2 w/everyone that was on board for round 1. Do I just say that I don't want to talk about it anymore, it's too painful and that I will only share when I get good news?

Kennedysmom, I'm glad you came to this thread ! Thing's will get more positive soon

DH and I told people with round 1 but will absolutly not tell anyone about 2. I've shared thing's with my mom recently, such as our new protocol and stuff ... She asked when we were starting again and I told her again, we are keeping that to ourselves. I told her nothing personal, but it was just to hard to talk about it afterward's when it didnt work. She sounded a hair bit dissapointed but got over it quickly. With everyone else, I dont really care what they think We've just said we are going to do it again, we just don't know when !! Enough said )

I had a dream last night that I just randomly started taking Follistem ?!? I was going to start a new cycle and someone I just wanted a head start on it ... It's kinda funny looking back at it now.

I hope you hair comes out great, I'm sure it will, and while you are at it, you need to buy yourself something new to wear, especially w/all the clearance sales going on. We need to reward ourselves for all of the hard work and emotional pain. We deserve to feel better and pamper ourselves, ALOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am planning a pedicure possibly tomorrow and getting my hair colored next week. I had bought and had shipped to my house Vegetable Hair coloring which is really hard to find that is safe if you are pregnant, so I ordered it and hoped that I would be using it this time, Guess not, but IM NOT RETURNING IT! Hopefully, I will be needing it before the end of the year.
It was nice having all of my friends supporting me through the process of IVF #1 and they were all hoping for me, I actually needed them, but now w/the I realized I can do the next round w/o them and turn to by buddies here on the thread. I will just tell them that it is too painful to share another round.

I have had weird dreams about the process too, I feel totally consumed by it. I am on the computer every night instead of watching TV, researching and on this thread, I'm addicted, lol.
I guess I will find a little peace after my RE visit Friday and hopefully have info and a new plan about how I will be continuing this journey

I'm better today, although I had a moment when I went in for my CD2 B/W & U/S to start again and the RE and nurses and another doctor were all shocked that the embies didn't take since they were high numbers. I pray all is well with you as well

What we are telling people is that we are taking our time if they ask and leaving it at that. This way we aren't telling them we aren't and we aren't telling them we are - we're just leaving it up in the air.

you are so lucky that you can start right up again, I have to wait for my Friday RE appt to discuss the next cycle, hopefully, there will be. So I lose a month.
I asked them the quality of my embies and they said they Don't grade them until day 5 when they are blasts. All they told me was how many cells they were, (2) 6 cell (1) 7 cell (1) 9 cell. And now 1 out of 4 took, I wonder what the RE will say about that. I'm thinking I have some sort of implanation problem.

I couldnt mentally jump into another cycle. I think DH and I Needed a cycle to regroup and get thing's back together. Maybe with this second cycle thing's won't seem so hectic and emotionally draining ... I don't think I had any idea how hard it would be. I think I will be better prepared ( DH as well ) for this second time around ...

Wow - I work in Valhalla, and I am in White Plains all the time. I looked at RMA too, but have not gone in there for a consult. I like Montifiore, everyone there is pretty nice, but it is big. So I see all the different RE's and deal with multiple nurses. This new RE, is the only one, and if there is an out of hours emergency, she leaves her cell phone on and you can call her directly! How do you like RMA? DO you have to go into the city all the time?

I just do not know what to do.

I am totally addicted to this site and my research too. I used to be on here CONSTANTLY, and the only reason I am not right now is b/c my puppy takes up so much of my time.

I always check in during work and all hours of the day and night LOL.

Well I received my new protocol and it doesn't look like it changed much. They decreased the Menopur and of course I start meds 2night. If all goes well I'm looking at a Guesstimated ER date of 8/17 or 8/18 and transfer date of 8/19 or 8/20.

I hear you all about waiting and I thought about it as well, but I have school age children so I wanted to go ahead and give it a shot now for that reason and since everything is fresh in my mind I won't be too nervous just overly cautious this time.

Bed rest after ET PERIOD!!!

I just spoke to my RE nurse, If I don't get AF by September 20, I will start Provera and then go from there for my next IVF cycle. She did make the comment I won't be on BCP's as long ?
In my new protocol, They will not have me start Lupron as early as I did with the 1st and they will increase my Follistem up from 150. I have no idea what it will be raised to.

It doesnt seem like that far away ... I think my estimated ER will be around the first week in November.

Hey neighbor, how funny, we are really close to each other. I work in Yonkers and in Rye. We should get together sometime since we are so close by one another.
I love RMA, they are recognized as a "Center of Excellent". I did most of my monitoring in White Plains w/Dr. Klein, he's a doll. He did my IUI's. I only had to go to Manhattan for f/u w/Dr Copperman, or any monitoring that had to be done on Wednesdays or weekends, and of course for the retrieval and the transfer, which was done by 2 other doctors, in fact I never saw Dr. Copperman at all, but he was the one that made all the decisions regarding the treatment. The anethesiologist was a doll, she put me out completely since I was a wreck for the retreival.
You could get a 3rd opinion, why not?
If you look up RMA's results, they are pretty good, but I want to be part of the good statistics, hopefully next IVF, I will.
There was another today in the two week wait, lucky girl!

Journey: I'm so glad you are getting right back on that horse and I'm hoping you ride it into the sunset this time, giddyap, lol. We are all for you, looks like your 2ww w/be her in a couple of weeks, and we want to be thrilled for you this time.

Kelly, you know what is best for you. If waiting feels right, you know how you feel, and hopefully next time will work for you too. It seems like we will be waiting for each other at all different times, so we will constantly have something to look foward to for one another and to support one another.

At least we all have the experience now and won't feel as afraid w/the shots, we're all experts!

I feel like we are all part of a team now, and we all have to be w/each other to celebrate each and everyone's as we get them, one at a time!

As far as the shot's go, they should be a breeze now. I think my behind is just now recovering from the PIO shot's !!
