Thanks Kelli! I had a feeling it just didn't work starting a few days ago. Nothing has ever been easy in my life, so I didn't expect this to either. I think you said you had the same thing. I've been crying a bit today, it comes on completely unexpectedly, so that's fun. If nothing else, I'm glad to have a break from the shots and to not have to wear those estrogen patches anymore - they totally suck. Though I'd gladly do them both everyday for the next eighteen years if it meant a baby. As a completely unrelated aside, it just started POURING here, completely out of the blue, like "Noah and the ark" pouring, and the sun is still shining. Gotta love the Wisconsin weather!

My DH graduated from MSOE! How funny! You're bound to find some kind of festival on any given summer weekend in WI.

My DH loved the campus. He stayed at the Hyatt and just walked there everyday. I must say it was a pretty neat downtown area. I had to take a class in Brookefield for mammography last year and I thought it was very confusing to find my way around and traffic seemed HORRIBLE. I was pleasantly surprised when I got to milwaukee.
While there we went to a brewer's game. I scored some front row tickets from ebay !! Their stadium is probably one of th nicest I have ever been to ![]()

DH is going on a company outing to a Brewer game this Sat. It is a really nice stadium, but I can't stand baseball so I'm skipping it.
Hey, maybe you and I should meet since those NY ladies are. We could meet in the middle. I have family in Dubuque and Madison and there's not a helluva lot in between those two except hills.

Catherine I'm so sorry to hear about your
. I'm glad you found this board though. It's so good to be able to talk things out amongst other who can totally understand. I know what you mean about nothing coming easy in life. My DH and I said that just the other day. We have to work hard for everything that we have. It just doesn't seem fair.Journey congrats on starting again. I really wish I was. I bet my RE told my DH that I should call with my period but my DH didn't get that part. Where in Northern Virginia are you? My DH has family in Fairfax and my dad and family live in Virginia Beach. Rosie and Sherry I work in Manhattan. If you come into the city let me know.

Hello ladies,
My BFN is old news by now. I still have my good days and my bad days, but now it's been more good than bad. My journey is on hold right now so I can focus on school. I just wanted to drop a line to tell you that I'm glad you all have found each other on this thread to help each other through this difficult time. I wish you all the best. -R |

hello everyone
Today was the first day that I really enjoyed, I was off and we went to my friends house at about 3, went swimming, had dinner, had a few drinks, the first time I had an apple martini, I never liked martinis, and we really enjoyed the day. We found out that DM's friend passed away last night after a long battle w/cancer at 47, (it was a relief because he was suffering so much) so after all the misery of him being sick and after the misery of my BFN on Friday, I actually had a nice day, it was so refreshing, and I am grateful for that.
Catherine - I am so sorry about your I was hoping for some better news. Thank you for the traveling info, I have to find that thread and figure it out. Funny how a some of us just knew it wasn't happening this time around. As much as I tried to stay positive, I kept saying that my body was telling me AF was coming. DM kept saying that I couldn't know because of all the meds screwing me up, but I just knew, meds or not. Joanna, I'll be in the city on Friday for my 12pm appt on madison and 58th near CBS, where do you work? Rhart, good luck w/school and hoping for many more good days for you.

Hey guys, I just caught up...unfortunately our thread is growing
Sherry, I am so glad that you had a great time today and just relaxed a bit. It feels so good to have fun after all we have been through. Catherine - I just saw your news, and I am so sorry. I was really for you. It stinks that you have to join this thread, but at least we have each other.Yeah I am just getting over my bitterness, it really is taking a while to truly be happy for others .I knew it did not work 2 days after the transfer. I was so positive through my whole cycle, I just KNEW it was going to work. Then something changed, and I knew it did not work. The worst part was telling DH cause he was still so positive. I wonder if we can sense what is happening, or if it is just fear and aprehension that causes us to feel that way. Oh well, next time, no negative thoughts and NO POAS'ing. That was the worst. Last cycle we really had no outside stress. But now that we know my MIL has a very advanced case of Cancer, we are just stressed to the max. I am so nervous about starting another cycle in the midst of this. I almost feel guilty, like DH and I should focus on her and not on ourselves. She would absolutely not have that though, she would be mad at us if we put a cycle on hold for her. Her hearing we are would make her so happy. I still am so upset about the whole situation. Journey - I admire you for starting right away. I am so hard for you that God will want me to shut up!Are you going to come to NY? If so, when?? We all totally have to get together. So now it is you, me, Sherry, Joanna....anyone else want to visit??

Casb77 - thanks for the advise and I'm really sorry about your
. Your time is coming and you'll find that we are all still rooting 4 eachother.Kelli - I wanted to give up last night after I went through my bout of crying for over an hour, but I am doing the best I can to stay focused. I did a lot of bleeding after 1 of the shots, but didn't care. JNails - I live in Manassas which is about 15-20 minutes from Fairfax depending on where in Fairfax. How ironic! 8kitts - sorry about your DH's friend. Yes, sometimes moving on is the best after a whole bunch of suffering. BUT I'm glad you finally enjoyed a day w/no stress, shots, etc. RosieB - you are too funny. God is not telling you to shut up. lol - although He is probably like, "Here they are calling me again." As far as visiting NY, we are trying to figure those dates out now. Of course because I've started the new cycle - all dates will work around that. I want to visit before the ET so that I don't have to do all that walking, so hopefully I'll have more answers on Saturday.Well ladies, just wanted to catch up with everyone. I still haven't hooked my computer up @ home after the move (yes, it still has a virus and I have 2 get it removed). I need 2 keep up more w/everyone. ![]()

Good evening ladies. I just got home from my f/u appt. with the RE. So we have 5 embryos frozen and they break down like this grouped by how they are frozen.
1AB - Ready to hatch or hatched 1BC - blastocyst 1BB - Ready to hatch or hatched 2BB - blastocysts. I can start on my next period but there are so many decisions to make regarding transfer. He said they thaw the 2BB blastocysts first and then depending on how many make it they can unthaw the rest if needed. My DH and I have a lot of decisions to make. I'm going to post some questions on the FET boards to see if they can give me some advice on what they have done. Sherry I'm glad to hear you had a good day. I happen to love apple martinis. I was drinking them all night at my wedding. My sister keeps telling the story about how I spilled one down her dress at the end of the evening. Ooops. I work downtown across for the WTC. I actually have lunch meetings tomorrow which I'm hoping will take 3 hours so I can stay out of the office. LOL.

Joanna - Which are the best embryos? I didn't get grades, just"pretty good" but all the RE's have different systems anyway. Maybe it's because we just have the one embryo, but I don't follow - what decisions do you have to make? (If it's not too nosey to ask.)

Catherine you aren't being nosy. I figure on these boards the more information the better. I think with the grading AA is the best. Those are what we originally transferred that didn't take. So these are the decision we have to make....as the doctor said..."some people put all their eggs in one basket and some people are splitters". I have decide what I am. My DH is a splitter but I'm sort of torn. I think I'm a splitter but....
So they thaw the 2BB first because they have not hatched yet. They can tell either immediately or overnight if they will survive. If none survive they thaw all the rest. If 1 survives, on the day of transfer we have the following options. 1) just transfer the 1 and save the rest for another FET; 2) Thaw only the 1BB if that survives, transfer 2 and save the other two for another cycle; or 3) Thaw all three of them and see if any survive. I guess if more than 1 survive I would then have to make a decision on how many to transfer. I know it's a personal decision on what to do but thought some of the girls on the FET board may have some advice.

Catherine & Rosie-I was the same way about whether or not it worked. It's a feeling that you JUST have.........the women who got there BFN's knew that it didn't work & the women who got there BFP's knew it was. I just knew it was a no for me. But, even though I knew, it was just as hard as if I hadn't expected it. My DH was the same way as yours, Rosie. He kept telling me it worked, it worked. I couldn't bear tell him that my 2nd hpt was negative. Again, I'm so sorry about your MIL. But, I agree that if she knew you were pregnant, she would be sooooo happy.
