I was on this site over 4 years ago when we struggled with infertility and do not remember so many women doing IVF and IUI at that time. We're back again, and still are not to that stage yet, hoping to get pg with just Prometrium to lengthen my luteal phase. Is anyone else out there just taking Clomid or Prometrium or some other more simple types of treatments? I don't think we could possibly afford IVF and hope we won't need to even consider it. I'm truly amazed by so many here being able to afford it. Anyway I was just wondering because I feel out of the loop so to speak and don't really understand most of what is being talked about and so many of you seem to be great friends with one another.

As for my situation now, we're in our 1st cycle of ttc again after a major loss and today is 9dpo if the OPK was accurate and I'm taking Prometrium 200mg twice daily with of course every possible pg symptom taunting me. I'm scheduled for a Beta on 15dpo and will probably poas a couple of times before then. Looking forward to getting to know more of you.

Hey Honu,
We are on our 1st cycle of Clomid 100mgs day 3-7 and Metforman 1000mgs a day. Im on 5dpo Its been a stressful month with getting used to the meds and having to on certain days (dh doesnt do well under pressure) So we are on our 2wk wait and for 1st time luck.
Ive thought the same as you with IVF I dont know of we get that far if we will ever be able to afford it.

Hi becm, unfortunately came for me today, so we're starting over again. I am glad we didn't have to wait 4 more days for the beta just to find out we're not pg, but still disappointed. We did 6 cycles with Clomid the last time, with no results, and I typically ovulate well anyway, our main issue seems to be my short LP and DH's SA came back with a # of abnormal sperm. I know what you're saying about BDing on demand, DH is better about it now, but it took him a while. I involve him as much as possible, so I'm not alone thinking about my CD and when I'll O and I tell him about my temps. As long as it's not the only thing I talk about he's pretty open to listening and being supportive. Lots of to you that you will have 1st time luck, you just never know
