2WW and spotting

Hello everyone needed some advice! My wife awoke me on 07/19 screaming my name and crying that she was not pregnant! she saw blood or shall i say spotting. I had read on the forum that this might happen and told her that. its is common. So I called the doctors office and eventually spoke to the Nurse whom reassured that this happens and it does not determine if you are pregnant or not! How will I ever get pass this if my wife is not pregnant? Im not sure I can take the devastation of her crying again. It just breaks me apart. The spotting happened on 9dp3dt. Anybody has info, advice or suggestion. We go for our first Beta on 07/23/09.

I started spotting the day before I got my official beta and I was devestated because I had been taking home pregnancy tests and they had been positive and I just assumed I was loosing my baby. I got a great first beta and it continued to double and almost tripple. I spotted for several weeks stopped for a couple of weeks and started spotting again. It all stopped around 12 weeks and I'm not almost 24 weeks with a very active little boy. I hope all is well for you guys but you could always take and HPT if you are curious or you could just wait until the 23rd.

Hi Manang, How much spotting was it? It very well could have been implantation bleeding. It is very common and is actually a good sign, meaning that the embryo implanted into the lining. The spotting usually occurs a couple of days after. Hang in there!

Hopeful but Cautious

Hey Taka, there was some spotting on the 07/18-07/19 on day 20 after work my wife was seeing bright red blood and too me passed a gelatinous type clot. So she cried and I held her and we talked. I called the RE office this morning and she told me that alot of women have experience things like this on the enodmetrium and still was pregnant. Said it could be because of the insertion of the stick causes trauma to the vaginal wall. So we will go and get our results tomorrow. Will update tomorrow
