Morula Transfer

Hello everyone

I'm only on day 5 of my 2ww and am feeling a little discouraged. We initially had 9 embryos, 6 of which were of high quality. On the day of the transfer (day 5), my RE told us that none of our embryos made it to blast but our top 2 were in the morula stage. I guess this is the stage before blast. So the top 2 (grade B w/ AH) were put back in. The remaining embies did not survive and were of poor quality. There was nothing to freeze. Do I still have a chance? I'm trying to be positive but I find it very difficult. Any successful morula stories would be great. Thanks for listening

Hi Sue, Sorry no one has replied to your post. I hope you remember me from our little chat the other evening. I hope you are doing well! I know someone in the group I hang out in had similar question, her beta is on Friday.

Let me know you are ok. I can't wait to hear from you!

Thinking about ya!

Sue, hun, yes sweets, there is always a chance. Let me tell you about my first ivf cycle, I had a 3 day et and transfered 2 embryos (8-cell and 4-cell). well I tested on day 8 post transfer and the test was negative. and cried and cried and was yelling at my hubby on the phone that it did not work. well, low and be hold, went for beta and it was positive, low beta but it was positive. and when the nurse called hubby to tell him too, he had to "TELL" on me! But with that said, my pregancy did not progress. I ended up with ectopic or even a chemical pregnancy. I am ok with that. But you need to know a lot of women take the hpt and it is negative, but then when they do the blood test, it is positive.

So please keep your faith, what ever happens-happens. There is a plan for you and your hubby.

Oh BTW- did you call your insurance company about your 10K lifetime benefits? Please call. Let me know what they say... I do bet you have at least another 1 full and part of or 1/2 of another cycle left on your coverage.

Keep me posted!

I am thinking about you!

Hanan

Thanks Hanan....you're very sweet. Your story is great. it gives me hope. One more day till my first beta
I know in my heart that eventually we'll get a
I guess it's just a matter of time. It's mentally and physically exhausting. Question_ did you do your IVF cycles one after the other or did you take a break? I'm torn cause I don't want to waste time but on the other hand I feel like I can use a month off to regain my energy and feel like I have a life again.
I did call my insurance company and yes it's a 10k cap. so the remaining that we haven't used can go towards our second attempt which I hope is not the case
Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. I'll keep you posted of my result.

Sue, my first ivf cycle was in Dec. 2006. When it was determined that it was either ectopic/chemical pregnancy. I was given an injection called Methotrexate (MTX). And for 3 months I was not able to do any treatments. We had a false start for our 2nd cycle in May of 2007 and when it was canceled. I ended up waiting until June 2007. Eventhough I never made it to any type of monitoring in May of 2007, the clinic I was at counted it as a cycle. And at that clinic, even when you don't make it to ER/ET they count it as a cycle and eventually told us they would not treat us any more unless we used donor eggs. That was determined after our our June 2007 cycle when the pregnancy ended as non-viable.

So to answer your question: 6 months between my first to second cycle.

Just keep your faith and believe, Sue! No matter what you will be a mom. I am sure you have a doc (RE) who is aggressive and will know how to get you and your hubby to where you need to be.

I am glad to here the insurance company will have funding left for at least another try, not that I want you to do another cycle, but for future cycles for siblings.

I am thinking about you! And praying that you DO have a positive beta on Thursday!

Hanan

Sue, ok that is an AWESOME #!!!!
I forgot how many did you end up putting back?
If more than one, then you could end up with twins!

I think that would be awesome to have twins! How is your hubby taking the news?

Please keep me posted, as it seems this is our little chat area any way! LOL

Can't wait to talk to you!

Hi Hanan!!

Thanks for thinking about me. I'm doing well considering I have no appetite and feel nausea during the day. Did I tell you we're having twins? It's a blessing
At my last ultrasound, I actually saw their heartbeats!!
I'm hoping to get my appetite back soon so I can get my energy back. So far only smoothies and fruit does it for me.
How are you? Have you started your cycle yet? Hope you're doing well.

Sue
