Congratulations

Hi Ronidog,

Great to hear you have been successful... Can you tell me what is it about the endo that prevented you from getting pregnant?

We are TTC naturally but have no reasons why we can't have another child. Also working on with domestic adoption.

Just a reminder to never give up and advocate!

After almost 4 years of trying, and thinking I'd been tested for Antiphospholipid antibodies (I wasn't!) It ends up I am positive. It's frustrating, but also hopeful for me, that maybe things aren't so "unexplained" after all. Of course, there is a problem, they just needed to find it. I am trying to hold out some hope. Anyways, it's just a good reminder to keep searching, keep looking, unexplained is so tough!

Unexplained fertility

Hi there...

I am new to this whole thing. A friend of mine recommened that I sign up for one of these and talk to some people who are going through what I am going through so here goes.....

My husband and I have been trying for 4yrs and nothing has happened. We have both been tested and they say we are both perfectly healthy and nothing should stand in our way.

We have been through 1 IUI, lots of clomid treatments and even just normal ovulation tracking and still nothing. I know it may sound horrible but I am starting to get jealous of those people who have miscarriages, only because at least they know they can get pregnant. In the four years that we have been trying we have had nothing happen.

Everyone keeps telling me that we are just trying to hard and that it will happen when its suppose to but i am so sick of hearing that. I see all these other people who are getting prego with no problems why cant we. If there is nothing wrong with us why is it so hard.

makinababy09-

, it took me awhile to discover these boards, and boy am I glad I did.

I remember I used to be jealous of people who had miscarriages- until I did have 2- and then I Was angry beyond belief because I felt it was unfair I had to be infertile for over 4 years and deal with m/c too. Both are losses in their own way.

Never give up, keep searching, ask for more tests, get a second opinion. Doctor rarely test for immune disorders for example but they can be an issue. Another area for testing is genetic problems.

Remember 4 years of not being able to conceive shows there is a medical problem. And they need to be able to find it somehow. Have you considered IVF? There is a lot of research to show it is helpful for unexplained, and also may help to discover the problem as they look into so many areas that regular testing just doesn't look into.

I wish you the best, hang in there.

Just wanted to bump up this conversation and show support to all of my unexplained ladies. Dec 3 will be our 4 year anniversary of TTC... ugh.

I hope it's over soon!

I understand

I understand how you feel.
Did you try post coital test? Laparoscopy? anti bodies?
I'm just searching the information for any tests that my doctor omitted and on my next appointment (07 Dec) will ask for the anti bodies test.
there must be a reason....

stay strong!
