Diethlstilbestrol (DES)

Studies have shown that children, both male and female, of women who were given the synthetic estrogen Diethlstilbestrol in the 1950's have a higher risk of infertility problems ranging from obstructions to conception to premature labor.

In men, DES exposure is suspected to cause a range of problems from diminished sperm production to undescended testes.

Does anyone know if that was a factor for them? Is there any way (other than directly asking) to tell if your mother was treated with DES?
