ah yes the unexplained mystery. 2 mths ago a NEW OBGYN requested 2 simple blood tests(on days 3 and 21 of the cycle) so that should help. If i've learned anything from this "unexplained" journey is that SELF-EDUCATION IS A MUST! You have to very politely demand what you want from the medical system to get what you want, and to do that you must do your research. Thank God for the internet and for forums like this!
BTW I'm new here so hello and nice to meet everybody!

You know I was on birthcontrol for 10 years and when I started to have multiple periods I went to a fertility doctor (OBGYN wouldnt help) and he told me that my FSH level was high and should freeze my eggs. For about 3 months it kept going up.

So i decided to get another opinion before I froze any eggs and saw a Hormonal (Anti-Aging) doctor. Turned out that my body has stopped producing my own hormones (Estrogen, Progesterone and Testoerone) because of the birth control.
Long story short, I was placed on **NATURAL** very important NOT synthetic Hormonal replacement therapy and within a month, dropped my FSH from 9.2 to 5.2.
So my recommendation is to get your hormones checked, and do not go for synthetic! those are not identical to your natural hormones.
My Fertility doctor never suggested that I go and told me if I didnt freeze now, I was going to go into menopause in five years and that it will be too late. He was wrong.
Hope this helps!

Infertility+infection

Hi Girls :
I am pretty new in this forum. But i always use to read. I am 37 with primary infertility. I had gone through all tests and everything is fine. Then in October i changed my Dr. She found an infection in my pap which Dr never test during normal pap. My Dr specially requested for this bacteria (Ureaplasama Urealyticum). According to Dr It can or cannot cause infertilty but it can cause problem during pregnancy. She gave me fisrt course of antibiotics of 7 days. But it was still there. Again she gave me 400mg twice a day for whole month. I took that but she just called and said i still have that infection and there is no other treatment she can give. I am so much worried and don't know what to do?

We were officially diagnosed with Unexplained Infertility recently. It's a pretty depressing thing to hear and know. All of my bloodwork is 100% perfect, my DH has "super sperm" according to my urologist. I have always ovulated on my own on CD14/15 with 28/29 day cycles. My ultrasounds are wonderful. We're just totally clueless why it's taking so long. We're on our 12th cycle and I'm glad we're finally able to take some major action in this 'baby fight'.

I did have unexplained infertility. I tried for 3 years. We had all the tests. I even had a lap done. I ended up conceiving naturally after several months of Chinese medicine, meditation, special diet, eliminating toxins from my environment etc. Everything I did for that time was related to TTC! It did work and I have a baby girl.
