I never used the Norplant, so I can't tell you from experience, but I was using Depo Provera for about six months and have heard a lot of people wth problems after using it. I think a lot of those types of BC have a lot of side effects.

norplant is another strong hormone supressant like depo provera and it can completely stop anything to do with cycles. It does take a long time to get it out of your system! I was on depo provera and it has taken forever to get my cycles straight (well, we will see if this one does get to normal length).
