pet causing infetility

My friend is having isuues and someone told him that it could be phermones from his dog that are causing infertility? is this even possible or total hogwash?

Hi there ! I don't mean to be mean But they are full of it ! I have tons of family and frinds some of them live on farms with tons of animales and they all have children ! I would not put a second thought to it ! Good luck!

Yeah, I agree. I think that is a crock. I don't think an animal of any type could cause IF. There obviously is an underlying health issue in either the male or female partner. Best of luck, I hope your friend gets some "real" answers.

Dec 13- ET of 4 snowangels (1-8 cell, 1-7 cell & 2 4-cell)
Dec 26: 69 - Dec 28: 192 - Jan 02: 1686
Jan 14- We saw one amazing heartbeat, 133bpm.
Jan 21- Baby was moving all around, it was amazing, 162bpm
Feb 26- 1st OB appointment - everything is great, heartbeat was 150bpm
Apr 15- Anatomy Scan - all is perfect (It's either a boy or a girl we are waiting for the surprise!)
Jun 23- Passed Glucose Tolerance Test - Yippee!
EDD Aug 29.08

That's a bit cooky. Think about the amount of people with pets and children.

IVFx5 BFP on final IVF!

12/19 First U/S(5w6d) TWINS!! saw two sacs, one heartbeat, baby b a little behind we hope he/she catches up! beta 26,000.
Second U/S 1/2 Lost baby B. One healthy baby now measuring exactly on target with HR of 155.
3rd u/s baby b still there but getting smaller baby A is perfect, moving around and has a HR of 172.
1/24 OB appt-baby measuring ahead-HR 173.
3/19 it's a girl!!!!

Not heard of any scientific research to prove this. In case your friend has heard about something...we would like to read the same. I don't think it is true. Besides this...there are millions of families across the world with pets who have had children successfully.

Three IUIs in 2007 - BFN
IVF (ICSI) in June.
First Beta - 11th July - 72.38
Second Beta - 220.30
2nd u/s - 4th Aug - Saw my angel's heartbeat 7w4d160bpm
3rd emerg. u/s - 24th Aug
- Saw the baby dancing 139bpm. Low lying placenta diagnosed.
4th u/s - 8th Oct - Placenta moved up.
3D and Anomaly scan - 23rd Oct - Everything measures perfect. Baby Hb: 148bpm.
Cervical cerclage - 2nd Nov - Successful.

Eva born on 29th Feb via C-scetion. She weighed 7 lb 2.6 oz (3.25kg) at birth and was 19.6 inches long!

~ 7 lb 14 oz and 21.2 at six week appointment. Vaccinated.
~ 10th week vaccination complete. Measured 9 lb 7.6 oz and 23.3 inches.

I have never heard of such a thing...maybe someone was playing an April Fool's joke on your friend?

1/05-11/05: Tried naturally
11/05-1/06: 3 cycles of Clomid 100mg, all
7/07-12/07: IUI x 5 with Clomid/Letrozole, all
2/1/08 - HSG shows right tube blocked, left ok

IVF#1
3/27/08 - Initial IVF Clinic appt - Mock transfer good!
4/16/08 - Baseline ultrasound: Over 50 antral follicles!
5/1/08 - Ultrasound shows 14 good-sized follicles and 45 total.
5/3/08 - Ultrasound (> 20 follicles), E2 - 4,091.
5/5/08 - ER - 46 follicles aspirated, 30 eggs retrieved, 24 are mature, 17 fertilized!
5/10/08 - Cycle cancelled due to OHSS. FET in June.

FET #1
5/16/08 - and started Estrace.
6/9/08 - FET - single, hatching blast transferred!
6/19/08 - Beta

FET #2
7/10/08 - Start OCP's for 28 days
8/9/08 - Start Estrace
8/29/08 - Tentative FET
