This forum is very helpful and all here are ery friendly supportive and I don't have words to say.

As 2 failed ivfs, I want to have more tests done before going to 3rd cycle. I never been preg. I am worried and at the same time I want to stay positive as you all.

i am sure that we are going to help all the newbies with all the things that they will have to deal with. i understand what you mean about being positive and believe that it is going to happen for us. after so much time and so many heartbreaks, it always amazes me what we are willing to do. you are a strong person just willing to try.

Historyteach, my RE is not refering me to any tests. He just says I am normal. I had HSG and Hyesteroscopy and they came out normal. I am responding well to the stims. My Dh SA are normal. I took appt with another RE on Aug 25th. I dont want to start cycle until I know whats the problem is.

Suggest me if you know any tests that you aware of, I will ask my RE to do those tests.

Hi Ladies,

Lisa, good luck on your hsg and retrieval. What kind of testing is your Dr doing? Is it PGD testing?

Wantbaby, maybe your new RE will have some ideas about testing etc that your old RE didn't. I know there are a lot of women on here that have changed RE's and discovered there was something they could do differently to get their bfp's.

Historyteach, I wish I could have more comfort food and drink, but right now I am feeling so sick to my stomach from the shots that when I eat anything with too much sugar/fat etc I get sicker. ugh, it seems like I can't partake in a single vice right now. I think I need to wait a month to even have an alcoholic drink. Once I feel better though I am planning on going back to my acupuncturist's diet and the royal jelly etc.

Oh I forgot to add that I haven't met with my RE to see if he's going to change my protocol. My last protocol was somewhat new:

- low dose ganirelix at the same time as the follistim and menopur instead of a normal dose of ganirelix for a few days before ovulation -

I guess the low dose of ganirelix helps my follies not grow too fast and helps slow down any lead follicles.
Since I did get pregnant I would assume he might keep this protocol. It's funny because when I went to my pharmacy (MDR) the guy who runs the place said he's been doing studies with the low dose ganirelix and it looks really promising. I can't find much on it though.

If you ladies get the chance I would love to hear your protocols. We can compare and contrast

This is our first (and hopefully only) IVF attempt. I'm nervous and have sooooo many questions. I feel like I can never know enough! Any advice is

Are there any certain things anyone is doing to prepare? I've heard a lot about acupuncture and have my first appointment this Saturday.

Just checking in! I had my RE appointment last Friday and should start BCP's next week for an October ER/ET! We are staying on the same protocol that got us our little princess, so no surprises! Whoo-hoo!

Can't wait to start!!

Hey guys! I'm much calmer now, though my emotions are SERIOUSLY crazy! I think my hubby doesn't know what's going on. Normally I'm pretty high-spirited but rational. I've been bordering on the irrational at times. I think it's all the hormones.

The good news is that showed up on time and I go in for blood work in the AM. I have to have a FSH drawn and some infectious disease labs they require before IVF. Then I'll start the process of BCPs before long.

Anyone else having difficulty coming up with the money for this big step? We're planning on asking some family members for a loan (hopefully one that will turn into a gift). Any suggestions on how we should do that? They know about this and how important it is. We wouldn't ask at all but you have to have ALL the money up front. No payment plans here.

I appreciate all the support from everyone. I'm going to just keep that all turns out well. Have a great week!

I wanted to say hello and join the October group. I think I will be starting my next cycle the end of September...begining of October depending of course on . Since I no longer "belong" to a thread, I feel a little lost....so I was hoping to join you guys!

I just got a on my 1st cycle in July and have been trying to get back on track with life.

I am for lots of for October.

jenny - we had to pay for everything up front as well, $22,000, it still makes me choke a little after each time i say it. my DH and I are playing the credit card game, putting it on 0% cards and when the time comes transfering the balance. i know it isn't the best way to do it but we only had half and i refuse to let a little thing like money stand in the way of me and my little one good luck with getting the cash from your family, i hope that it works out!

as for me - we finished giving blood this morning so the results should be back in 4 - 6 weeks, but i am not sure when i am going to cycle. they didn't put me on bcps after my beta got down to zero so that means sept is out but i am not sure if they are going to do an october cycle so i might be waiting until the week of nov 17 - and that just seems so far away. but considering i have been gaining weight, it might give me some time to lose those extra pounds i hope that everyone has a great monday and many blessings

Why does it take 4-6 weeks for the bloodwork?

Also, can't you start the bcps at any time or do you have to start during your period? I forget since I didn't do them on my first cycle.

I'm trying to find a thread to join as well. I was in the July IVF thread and recieved my first BFN, I had nothing left to freeze so we are back to square one again. I started posting on the Sept thread but Im not thinking Im quite on that cycle. I will be starting BCP's in September. Is that when most of you ladies will be starting ?

Rosie, I'm kind of with you ... I got so comfortable in the July thread and then it was like .... where do you go now ??

Teresa, as far as I know, you start BCP's a few day's after getting AF.

Kelli, that makes sense about the bcp's.

My beta is almost zero, but I have to wait a natural cycle because of the methotrexate shot so that hopefully makes October my month to cycle. I am assuming that I will get regular AF (TMI, but I've been bleeding for over 3 weeks with this ectopic!) in about 40 days and then start bcp's sometime in mid-september also.

I noticed you started the royal jelly today. I took it for a couple months before my last cycle and I think it helped because my fsh was 6 and I did get pregnant even if it was ectopic
Funny because I just started taking it again today also (I stopped when I got my bfp). I'm planning on doing the wheat grass shots and eating a lot of food with antioxidants soon. I do all the things the girls recommend. Last cycle I ate turkey and pineapple and drank lots of grape juice at the specified "right" times
