Hey Guys. I am starting BCP's this week for our #1 IVF cycle. We have been TTC for 2 years and are really hopeful- and scared! We did 6 months of chlomid, 2 IUIs with chlomid and are now ready to move on and be preg-o!

I am looking forward to seeing many positives in this group of Oct IVFers!

Good luck guys and I am thankful we have eachother for support.

Vanna, I never refridgerated my Lupron. The box said to keep it below 77 and the RE's office said it didn't need to be.

I know I am a little late but I would like to be added to this thread. I am currently doing the clomophine challenge and then I will start the Lupron at the end of the month...depending on the outcome of the test. October will hopefully be my month!!

Jana! On the one hand - I'm so very sad to see you here. I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember being so excited for you not too long ago. On the other hand... I'm so happy for you that you're jumping right back in. I'm thrilled to be cycling with you.

Babygood - I'm pretty sure we've cycled together during at least one IUI. It's good to see you over here.

I have my nursing consult and injection teaching visit this Friday. Of course, we've given all these shots before, but our new clinic makes new patients come in anyway. We'll be getting our calender that day and ordering our meds. It really feels like we're getting nearer the start of things!

Thank you to all who kept me in your thoughts. My grandmother is stable and seems to be doing better. She may be moved to a nursing home next week for rehabilitation to regain some mobility.

I received my schedule and other paperwork over the weekend. I will be ordering my meds tomorrow. Tomorrow is my first acupuncture appointment. I am getting so excited. Things are getting started again already.

Now I just need to wait for

to show up in about 3 more weeks.

I was so hoping it wouldn't happen this go 'round, but I got the mega Lupron headache after only 3 days of Lupron 10 unit shots. Nothing is kicking it. I don't want to take anything stronger than Tylenol. Am hoping that acupuncture tomorrow will help. It did in the past. My face is broken out like I'm going through puberty all over again. My DH is probably embarassed to be seen with me.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend. The only reason I look forward to weekdays now is because it's getting closer and closer to the day! Gonna go lie down and put a cold wet cloth on my forehead and watch Entourage with my DH. XOXO everyone!

You poor thing! I know caffeine is a no-no, but stress and pain aren't good either and my old RE told me that a little caffeine can go a long way toward lessening a lupron headache. I tried it and it actually worked! I read in The Fertility Diet that soda is the really awful caffeinie culprit, but that some tea or even a cup of coffee now and then aren't so awful. You might try it if you are miserable enough.

Lizzie, thanks for the sweet welcome. It was a hard loss, but we've all been through a loss one way or the other. I was so sorry to see that your FET wasn't possible. I so hope this new RE does the trick.

I also have to use caffeine to get rid of those headaches. The Infertility Cure says to use green tea because while it has caffeine like coffee and soda, it also has antioxidants that are good for you.
