What's the deal with the Wheat Grass ? Do share

What kind of food's are high in antioxidant's ?

I think I heard about wheatgrass from the book "The Infertility Cure". If you google wheatgrass and fertility there is a lot of info.

I drink a tea called "rooibos" tea (there are a lot of different brands and kinds of tea) that is supposed to have a lot of antioxidants in it. Some other foods that are high in antioxidants are: berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries), oranges, pink grapefruit, grapes, apricots, peaches, raisins, tomatoes, dark green leafy veggies (spinach, kale, etc.), Brussels sprouts, broccoli, beets, red peppers and carrots. I got this list online
There is a post about royal jelly where one of the ladies talks about how important antioxidants are for good egg quality.

I also started taking RJ from past 3 days.

I have a question regarding how to take it. Can I have some water immediatly after taking RJ? At what time I need to take like before breakfast or before or after dinner?

What is DHEA for? How much quantity we need to take 25 mg or 50 mg or 75 mg or 100mg ?My RE didnt say anything about it. Shall I just start without his guidence? because my RE is kinf of saying I don't need anything and I am perfect , Which I dont like at all now after 2 failed IVFs

I know about wheat grass, when I went to vitamin shoppe. I saw powder that we need to mix up with water and have it. Is that what your doing?

Hi girls! I'm back from vacation or IVF round #2 (not really vacation I guess)..lol!

Prickle -- We are doing CGH = Comparative Genomic Hybridization which is done on blasts and will determine the most "competent embryo" for my FET in october. I have NK cells and need IVIG before ET so this will save money if we know the embryo is normal. I don't know much about PGD but I think this takes it a step further. I have research article from the doc if youe need for info.

I'm hoping to begin soon...appt with dr on August 21st! Why does it seem like forever to get there??

I don't understand all the terminology yet, so bear with me if I ask a ton of questions!

I take my RJ in the morning and at night. So when I take my vitamin in the am, and then usually after dinner. I think it is fine to drink water afterwards to help get it down.

I think you should ask your RE before you start DHEA. I don't know too much about it, but I think he/she should know about that.

RosieB, Thanks for replying. I am taking it after my dinner only once. Because I am producing more eggs but I have a guess that my eggs are not good quality, as per my RE they good.

I am going for a second opinion on Aug 25th. I will ask all my questions to that RE.

I'm having a hard time getting the RJ down ... Any suggestions ? I want to throw up the entire time I'm trying to swollow it. It makes me gag !

The only thing I could do to get it down was this. .. I put just a little hot water in a mug (like just an inch or two), add a flavored (berry) herbal tea bag. I then let the tea cool to room temperature, added the "honey" and stirred. I then could drink it "shot" style. Not sure if this hurt the honey, but it really was the only way I could get it down. I really thought mine was spoiled cause no one else seemed to have this problem. Good luck!

I just ordered the pill form ... It has 2500 mg of RJ and some other stuff that is supposed to be helpful. I just can't get that pastey stuff down. It's probably not quite as good as the raw form, but this pill form claims to be freeze dried ?

I am also having the same problem. The first day I took without any problem but from second day onwards I was also like gag . But After taking it immediately I am having water to let it down. If I have water its OK for me.

Hi October group!

I will be going through FET #2 on Oct 17 so I wanted to say hi to everyone. It seems like it is so far away but really it isn't. As you all can see from my signature, I am old hat at this. After 4 cycles and 1 FET we are now with a new RE and feeling really good about it. We have re-done and gone through new testing with everything coming back normal, which is great! Just finished up my mock cycle and had a uterine biopsy today (not fun). We will be doing PGD on all of our Day 3 embies (around 19). I am glad to see that this group is already started Wishing lot's of luck to all of us this cycle!

I'm sorry to hear your are a "old hat" at this. You inspired me when I read your sig...wow! I'm sure you can offer plenty of wonderful advice or just support to all of us!! I'm in the process of IVF #2 and it really takes a toll on you physically and emotionally! I'm awaiting my final fert report for next Monday and I dreamed about my embryos last night...every hour I woke up and I was like was it 8c, no 7cell, or is it 4cell...i'm probaly just going nuts...lol!

I agree...uterine bx (ouch) I hope they gave you some good meds..they gave me a pain pill and valium for that but it still hurt! Keep us posted on the PGD results!
