I agree...uterine bx (ouch) I hope they gave you some good meds..they gave me a pain pill and valium for that but it still hurt! Keep us posted on the PGD results!

Good luck! Look forward to getting to know you!

Yea I really wish I could say this was my first cycle I actually decided today to think of this cycle as a new day. This will be our first cycle with our new RE so I am going think of it like our "first" time. I am sure I can help if anyone has any questions. I have been going through IVF for 2 years! I can't believe it! They didn't give me any meds for the biopsy so it hurt. I have been through sonohystograms & hysteroscopies so I really wasn't expecting it to be bad but it was. Will keep my fingers crossed for you and a great Fert Report!

giggles - if you and your DH are normal why did you decide to do PGD? we have to make the decision on if we are going to do it but we are still waiting for the test results to come back. and if you don't mind me asking how much is your clinic charging? thanks for your help

I have PCOS and DH has MF and since we are completely normal everywhere else, PGD is our last factor. We always get amazing "looking" embryos so it is very possible that up to 70% could be abnormal. That means most of the time we were transferring abnormal embies. I have had 1 pregnancy and multiple failed cycles so we are definitely in the PGD criteria. All of our chromosome testing came back normal which means DH and I are reproductively "normal" but there is still a high possibility of our embryos being abnormal. I am praying that PGD is our answer since everything else hasn't been. My clinic charges $4500 for PGD, we can PGD as many embryos as we want. We have many Day 3's frozen so we are going to PGD all of them and transfer the good ones. If we have a lot that are normal we will refreeze them.

It is very prevalent with PCOS women. PGD can be controversial. Some RE's believe in it and some don't. My RE happens to be a pioneer in PGD. He uses PGD in certain cases and not in some. If you have had 1 or more miscarriages, male fertility issues and/or repeat failures he recommends PGD. My RE previously did not believe in PGD so we never did it. We went through many cycles with her and no viable pregnancy to show for it so we really wanted to explore every option this cycle and find an RE that was excellent in genetic testing. He also uses embryo glue with every ET so I am feeling upbeat/positive with him. Who knows what will be the factor that gets us pregnant. It doesn't hurt to try everything at this point.

I just started researching some holistic measures of fertility. B6 helps with balancing hormones and the break down of sugars. Having PCOS, I obivously have issues with this. I also read an article where it helps with depression and is supposed to help with stress. We all know anyone going through IF need's help with stress I looked at my multivitamin that I take and It doesnt contain B6 ... So I fiugred what the hay - It can't hurt ?

I guess I should probably ask before I just start pill popping But most of the articles point it at PCOS'ers because of their insulin issues ...
