Boy, I checked out for a day and I missed 2 whole pages of posts! I'm going to have to do a better job of posting!

The 21st is taking forever to get here! I have so many questions with my dr. He intimated that we had a small issue and was sure that the IUI's would have worked - so WTF? Here I am going through IVF and wondering what has changed since we naturally had our DS....all we did for him was the BD and plenty of booze! LOL!

Quick suggestion....do you guys keep track of everyone that will be cycling with us? Its hard to keep track of everyone! I did it in my IUI forum and I'd do it here, but I'm still not sure of all the dates...I know there is an ER and an ET (one taking out, one going back in, right?) Then anytime someone wants to update their info, they just copy and paste...

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well...I don't have much to add - just playing the waiting and worrying game!

I missed 2 days and there are so many posts now. I'm glad I started this thread...there are so many of us October girls out there! I would love it if someone could keep track of everyone on our thread. Any volunteers? I agree that I'd love to know dates people are doing stuff.

I did my day 3 FSH...it was really day 4 and it was 6. They said this was good. My ID labs all came back fine, but I wasn't worried about that. I started my BCPs last night. It made me sleepy and I had a headache today, but otherwise am fine. I stopped BCPs a few years ago because of bad headaches, so we'll see how it goes. I didn't think I'd go on them this soon, so that was a surprise. I apparently start my meds the end of September and it'll be here before you know it. My target retrieval date is October 23rd.

Who else knows their expected retrieval date? And can someone catch me up about royal jelly? Never heard of it and my RE didn't suggest it.

MY ER date should be end of october/early november.

There is a huge thread on royal jelly ... it's supposed to increase the quality of your egg's amoung other things ....

Hmmm...Interesting - I produced alot of eggs too. The quality was questioned. Please let me know what your RE says. I had a followup with my RE and he wants to follow a similar protocol with Lupron, and Follistim, but a lesser amount, and no more Repronex. My 2nd opinion RE said antagonist protocol and also said slower stim, and less medication. I am desperately trying to make a decision on which RE. I am interested to see what yours has to say.

Kelli, try drinking some cold water afterwads, to swallow it more like a pill. Maybe that will help.

ROSIE -- Good luck making yor decision about the new RE. I did the same thing before this cycle and you can def. drive yourself nuts!

Or we could just put everyone's name in a list thats on this thread and we fill in our dates as we get them....I used to try to keep them in order of who will be beta testing the soonest so we all could wait with you! Plus, I don't fit into any of those categories! Well, with IF I could always use a hug! I'll see if I can put one together...

I hope you guys don't mind this - I don't mean to be pushy either but you have no idea how much this forum and stuff like this keeps me going! If not, I think the stress, waiting, anxiety and everything in between would kill me! Plus, I'm always glad to know there are others out there doing this too.

Hi RosieB, Sure I will let you know what my new RE's opinion is. I am also in the same situation as you are. I have to decide whether to go fresh cycle with new RE or to go to FET with my old RE. Its totally based upon my new RE. If I like her, then I want to go fresh cycle with which my DH dont want to. He wants to do fresh cycle next year. Meanwhile he wants to know whats going on.

But As you all know the pain and the stress, I want to do as many as I can and get the +ve results. My current RE says what I say, if I want to change protocol then he changes otherwise he dont say anything. If I want to have any tests done and If i specify the test name then he says no need.

I hope we all get in this cycle.

So I guess I am just new at this (my first IVF cylce) and I am completely lost with the "lingo". I feel like I am back in school and forgot to study for a pop quiz. oops!

Kelli I saw that you have PCOS, which is what I have as well. I was curious if you tried clomid before IVF, or anything else. I did 4 rounds with nothing. Just wondererd what you tried before IVF

Also, I wanted to ask what kind of plans you ladies are on. Shared Risk? Or are you doing single rounds? My husband and I are trying to figure out which route to take. Any suggestions?

I tried calling my RE today and they are not answering, dunno why. I will call tomorrow, I want to see what he wants to do with me, either put on BCP or postpone it to October.

if you want to do the chart that way, it is cool. that is just the way it was done on the other two cycles that i did.

but it is amazing that we are always moving forward and getting so much closer to starting our cycle. i hope that you are all having a blessed day

i am doing a shared risk program, and i am so thankful that i was took that option. because i was capable of getting pregnant with my first two cycles but i there has been an issue and now i get four more chances with fresh cycles and all i have to do is pay for my meds and possibly PGD, and my clinic has excellent rates - 70% success rates - and we thought about doing the single cycle and am so thankful that we did the shared risk - however, if we would have gone with just one single cycle - we wouldn't have been able to afford to keep trying. at my clinic we got 6 fresh and all frozen within the cycle for $22000 with ICSI - so if you want my opinion go with the shared risk - it helps so much with the stress level. good luck and no matter what decision you make as long as you make it with your heart, you will make the right decision

I Did do 3 or 4 rounds of Clomid - I never ovulated on it. Then, I went to an RE who diagnosed me with PCOS. They had me start Metformin in combo with Famera, a drug similar to Clomid. I did that 3 or 4 rounds ( i dont remember ) .. I did ovulate once from that.

Whichever way works fine for me too...thats how we did it on the IUI side but then again, I'm new to this IVF so you guys will know what will work better! You guys decide...

I really have nothing else to add - still just waiting. This is almost as bad as the 2ww!
