I just keep worrying!!!

I will be 6 weeks pregnant on Friday and I still don't have any symptoms. I'm not sick, not tired, my boobs don't hurt...nothing. The only thing I have noticed is if I don't eat for 6 hours or so I start to get dizzy and light headed, which normally doesn't happen. I don't know if that is pregnancy related or not. I have been dealing with OHSS for the last 2 weeks and it is finaly getting better. Of course I thought, "oh no, is it getting better because I'm not pregnant anymore?" My question is this. I would know if I lost the pregnancy, right? Sorry for the dumb question, but I have no idea what happens if a baby is lost this early on. Would I just be in a lot of pain and have a lot of bleeding? So far I haven't had any spotting at all, even with all the progesterone suppositories.

Hi Aggierose!

I can't really be of much help. I will be 6 weeks on Thursday and like you have not had any spotting. The only symptom I have is ocassional cramping and round ligament pain. Did I mention the gas?? My hubby is getting a real kick out of that one. My boobies are sore to the touch, but I too am taking progesterone injections and suppositories nightly.
I think we'd know if we miscarried ...
I'm thinking of buying a HPT just to remind myself. My first ultrasound isn't until the 29th.

You should also check out the April 2009 Due date group ... maybe they can help!

Good luck (for both of us)

Aggierose,
I think that 6 wks is a little early to feel a lot of the symptoms some people feel. I wouldn't worry much, some people never have symptoms! Good luck, and remember to that your OBGYN is used to nervous new mama calls so you should really call anytime if it will make you feel better!

Don't worry

If you were to miscarriage at this point you would most likely know it.
Its not uncommon to have no symptoms. With my other children I wouldn't have known I was pregnant except for the expanding belly and the kicking baby.

This time has been different but, I think that is because my progesterone levels are higher than in a normal pregnancy. So, I feel more tired, hungry, and bloated.

I had a stash of pregnancy tests to take when I got a bit paranoid that my pregnancy wasn't going well. I'm sure you are fine - I was! I didn't have really any symptoms so that is nothing to worry about - lots of women don't have symptoms for the first while.

I never had any of the classic pregnancy signs and was constantly worried that I had miscarried and just didn't know it. Fortunately, that wasn't the case! Some women just don't get any symptoms, so try not to compare yourself to others.

Kathryn.

P.S. My baby was born last Thursday. I need to change my signature!

Belinda,
I am so jealous of you! I have been plagued by nausea all day every day for the last two weeks and can barely hold down any food. I've never been so miserable in my life. My mother was like you and had zero morning sickness and no symptoms. I was counting on being like her, darnit! Several of my friends had zero symptoms and went on to have healthy children. So take it from me - enjoy feeling good and count yourself very lucky!

You are going to worry and thats natural, but take it from another worry wart it's not worth it!
I am 29 weeks pregnant and never had one day of sore boobs, morning sickness, cravings, etc... Just feel blessed that you may have an easy pregnancy like me.
I honestly believe our bodies our so primed and ready for pregnancy, from all the hormones given during IVF, that is why many of us IVF'ers have easy pregnancy's with no symptoms! I feel lucky and so should you

Belinda - I did not have many of the classic symptons around 6 weeks. I worried just like you are worrying, but then about 9 weks I started throwing up every day at all times of the day. This lasted until about 20 weeks. So, like many women you may not ever get many of the classic symptoms, and if so enjoy, but you might start getting more the farther along you get.

Thanks everyone! I do feel better now! I do hope that I continue to not have any symptoms and I was wondering if they would show up later. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the morning sickness ordeal skips me!

I didn't have many of the "classic" symptoms either - no sickness, no real fatigue, etc. I did like the others and continued to take HPTs until we got to the ultrasound!!! I didn't get sick at all until the last few weeks - oddly in the third trimester. I definitely started getting symptoms about the time I started to show.
