Light Bleeding - which day count as day 1..Pls help
Hi ladies! My hubby and I are doing IVF in September. I only lost my right fallopian tube (ectopic) and my hubby has a low count. I'm scare and worried. IVF cost a lot and i scare of needle's. I currently on BCP's and waiting for
 . This morning when i wake up i wipe and see light bleeding until afternoon after lunch still same. My Re ask me to call on day 1 of my period. I don't know when my period will have full bleeding and which day to count as day one. They told me that i need to do blood test on day 2 of my period. I need advise.. Pls help.

My clinic classifys day one as Full Flow beofre 6pm.
I would call your clinic and ask them, but I would guess if it is lighter than normal that tomorrow will be day one for you. Good luck.

Ditto Backflip that you need to find out what your doc classifies as day one. My OB-GYN counts day 1 as the first day of any kind of flow, even spotting, while my RE counts day 1 as the first day of full flow.
As far as the needles and other stuff, none of it is as bad as what's in your head right now. Honestly. It does get overwhelming at times, but it's all manageable if you keep your goal of having a baby in mind. The needles for Lupron and stims are tiny and you'll barely feel some of them. I recommend injecting into your stomach because it actually hurt in my thigh. I also suggest you join the IVF thread for your cycle so you can talk with women who are going through the same thing at the same time as you.

ditto...call them and ask them. They will guide you through their process...My dr says its full flow for most of the day (before 6) usually. Good luck!

I would also say ask your RE, but to give you my experience, my RE says the 1st day of full flow is when you fill a reg. sized tampon (sorry TMI).

My RE counts day one as the first full flow day, not spotting days. However i would call and ask seems some do it different. Plus if you have to test on day 2 you dont want to miss it.

Definitely check with your RE for their criteria. My RE defines Day 1 as the first day with heavy flow before 5 pm.

Thanks all.. I called my RE yesterday and he say that full flow count as day 1. The problem is today is saturday and we celebrate national day on monday and the clinic only open on tuesday. I wonder that anyone had done blood test on day 3 or day 4?
