Beta #1-- 1,003

I was wondering if anyone has any charts on the beta levels? We just had our first BETA done today (1,003). I know this is a strong beta, but just trying to figure out if this is any indication of twins etc. I am a twin so we would LOVE to have twins. We put back 3- 1 blastocyst, 1 compacting and 1 morula. Does anyone have anyone websites they'd recommend for tracking the BETA levels?

I know it is hard to judge from a beta because i remember a lady on here that had Huge numbers and everyone was sure it was two or more and it turned out to be one and some ladies that had like in the 80's and 100's turn out to be twins so i dont think it is an acurate way to judge to outcome at all. I know the waiting SUX but the u/s is the only way to know.

Hi, there have been lots of threads lately about betas and twins... It seems that high betas can be an indicator of twins, but sometimes it's just one, and similarly, lower betas sometimes are twins.. You just never know. That's definitely an awesome beta though!!!! Congrats!

The following is a web-site I checked out with some averages..

The BetaBase

Good luck!

Congrats on a great beta. I second the recommendation on the betabase website.

The thing to keep in mind is that at 22 DPER your beta was later than most first betas we see here, so that could be part of why the numbers are so high. As an example, with twins, my second beta was in the 1300s but it was taken at 18 DPER.

I hope it is twins for you!

lawyerlady is right, your first beta was later than usual. My 3rd beta was one day apart from your beta and it was over 8,000 and I have one. But you can't really go by beta numbers to determine multiples. Congrats on being preggo!

I have to agree with the others... your beta was done at 23dpo (17dp5dt). At 19dpo for me, by beta was 1885. I have a singleton.

But this doesn't mean you are not having twins. There are lots of women with low betas (look at Barbara!) to start then wind up having twins. And lots of us with high first betas and have 1. You have to take in how many days post ovulation you are, and in the case of identicals, when they split, etc...

but congrats on your BFP!

Yikes! It looks like I made a big mistake in my signature block. As of today, I am 12dp5dt not 17dp5dt. I had the ER on August 12th and the ET on August 17th. Sorry for the confusion on my end!
