Anyone get pg using Microdose Lupron protocol?

If yes, did the MDL give you better eggs? More eggs? Was it a different protocol than you've previously done?
What other meds were you taking?

I'll be doing my 3rd IVF, but my first doing the MDL protocol. I was just looking for some hope and encouragement. I think I'm at the point now that I wonder if anything will ever work...
I know, I know...I should be optimistic. I guess I just don't want my hopes to get so high and then have them come crashing down on me. Again.

Thanks!

I have posted about this before so you all are probably sooo tired of hearing about it from me this week-sorry!

But a new RE that I recently got a 2nd opinion from said that he'd like to try the AACEP (Antagon/Antagonist Conversion Estrogen Priming Protocol) on me since I am considered a "poor responder". It is supposedly a very new protocol developed by SIRM/Dr Sher that was published in the February edition of Fertility and Sterility and it's catching on at practices across the US!

He said that if I had gone to see him a year ago, he would have put me on the Microdose Flare Protocol, but now that the ACCEP Protocol has been developed, it is replacing the Flare and they are seeing very good results with it in poor responders and even normal responders. He's done it with 3 women in his practice since Feb. and all 3 have gotten pg.-1 did miscarry, the other 2 still pg. Some of the girls on the Forum have used it I've noticed.

Food for thought )

We did it twice and it didn't work, but we got a lot of eggs and embryos.

We then did luteal lupron and it worked.

Since my wife has endo I think luteal lupron works better. I know several women who got pg on MDL however, so it is a good protocol.

For my last IVF, I had no lupron. This time, I am doing the MDF protocol. I only had 8 antral follicles when the RE counted, so this is why. I did, however, respond pretty well without lupron.

I did MDL this last cycle and it worked for me. In our research after my first failed IVF, dh found evidence of the antagonist cycle not leaving the uterus in as good a condition for the embryo to stick. And it ended up that while my lining was not very good the first IVF - it was like barely a 7 at retrieval - the second was much better being almost a 10 at retrieval.

Along with MDL, we also had two endometrial biopsies done and I had been taking dhea for two months by the time of my retrieval. We also bd'd the night before transfer and I stopped all exercise during my cycle.

My re said the other day that the quality of my embryos was just better this time which I would guess is due to either the dhea or the MDL.

I wish you the best of luck! Hope this your cycle!

Wow, Maggie! Congrats on being ! Hearing your story gives me hope. I'm also taking DHEA, but only 75mg. I hope that either the MDL or the DHEA will give me better quality embryos too!
When do you find out how many you have in there? Or do you already know?

I too started taking DHEA yesterday, per a new REs suggestion. I really hope it helps. The girls on the forum seem to all swear by it!

Have you heard of anyone who it hasn't helped?

Is it suppose to increase your antral follicle count or the follicle count after yoru start stimming?

Did you do any other supplements in addition to the DHEA, such as Royal Jelly or Bee Pollen?

Thank you!!
