Dealing with the "side effects" of IVF process.

I am going through my first IVF cycle and am having difficulty with Heartburn and bloating. I just has my ER on Monday the 25th and my ET on Friday the 29th.

I would like to get it somewhat under control before i go back to work on tuesday. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks

Congrats on being PUPO . I hope your 2ww flies by. I can't offer you any help with the bloating that always just takes it time to go away for me. I hope you are feeling better soon.

I'm not sure about the hearthburn, but for the bloating, drink lots of gatorade. This is what I was told to do for OHSS when I had lot sof bloating. It's so uncomfortable!

thanks, I have tried that, but we think that may have been contributing to the heartburn, so they told me to stop drinking it.

It's so weird because the bloating is supposed to be a symptom of OHSS, but when I went in for the transfer they said my ovaries looked good. So, I am so confused as to why I feel this way.

Tums! Your body needs calcium anyway! You can also use some otc 24 hour heart burn things, I used some and they helped, but Tums are great, cheap and i know my DR said I could take them.
