brown bleeding at 6wks2d pregnant after FET

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but I know this forum gets a lot of traffic.

I am 6wk2days pregnant today, after a FET. My betas have all been fine and I'm due for my first u/s on monday. I just went to the bathroom and noticed some brown blood on my undies and some when i wiped. I've never had bleeding before with this pregnancy. I'm at work (i'm a nurse) and it's not too heavy right now so I haven't been doing too much heavy lifting etc. I just don't know whether this warrants a call to my RE. I'm cramping a little on and off today but I have been on and off since the transfer.

I still have 6 hours left in my shift and my boss doesn't know I'm pregnant. I can't really just leave early but I know I can figure some way to if I really need to. In all your experience and wisdom, do you think I need to call my RE to let them know?

I'm just feeling stressed about it!

Thanks!

i would call your Re so that they are aware of the situation but since it is brown, you should be ok. also, are you on any suppositories? because that can irritate your cervix which can cause bleeding.

in reality, i am sure that you are fine but i would still call yoru RE for peace of mind because it is really stressful when you see that...good luck and i hope that everything works out!

Colleen, I would call your RE right away. He/she may put you on bedrest or order an u/s before Monday. I have been through this at 6 weeks with the brown bleeding so I would not wait to call. I am sorry, I do not want to scare you but please call your RE. I do hope and pray that its nothing.

Hey Colleen, try not to worry..easier said I know. I was told by my doctor that brown is okay..it's old blood that could be working it's way out. There have been quite a number of ladies on here who have had that kind of spotting for weeks in their first trimester. I would call your RE for piece of mind and just so they know. Try to stay calm

Try to relax! Brown blood is old blood & ok. Call your RE & see what they suggest. I had bleeding from week 8-12 & ended up having a clot between the placenta and uterus but it worked itself out by week 12. If you start bleeding red or are cramping with the bleeding go to the ER right away. Good Luck!!

Thank you for your replies. I haven't had any more spotting since the one smear yesterday at noon. I haven't called my RE's office since I figure it's just old blood and brown is good. If it comes back or turns red, then I'll my RE, otherwise I'm just going to wait until my monday u/s.

I don't take progesterone suppositories but I do take my evening dose of estrace vaginally, as per my RE. I wonder if that's irritating my cervix? I'm going to ask her on monday.

i also am pregnant from an FET. I have had lots of spotting with this pregnancy.
im currently 9 weeks and my spotting did start around 7 weeks i think...
i had actually red, brown, maroon, chunky, mucousy, sheddy looking, all kinds of blood you can think of and my baby is just fine.
the nurse at my RE said alot of women who go through IVF bleed and it may continue throughout your entire pregnancy. i still have spotting on and off quite frequently but everything so far is good. my next US is monday
