We did a 3 day transfer, 3 grade A embryo's. on 11dp3dt my HCG was 55 and Projesterone 22. 13dp3dt my HCG only went up to 83. 15dp3dt HCG went up to 129.

Is there any hope?
I go for another HCG test on 18d93dt (thursday) and I am trying to prepare myself!

We did get Positive HPT tests 7,8,9,10 days past transfer, so I don't get why my numbers are so low?

man! i wish i knew what to say to you about your betas but i just don't. i mean, we always hear that they should double every 48 hrs. i don't know if there are any extenuating circumstances or not. even w/ an ectopic i think they double at first but then they kinda stop going up after a certain point. i had a chemical pg recently and mine never went as high as yours. i'll say a that everything works out okay.

I know its not ectopic because my tubes are gone! This is so stresssssful. Do you know anything about HCG levels and vanishing twins? Could more then one embryo implant and then stop growing?

You could have a late implanter. Mine started off low and I'm now 10 1/2 weeks. The general rule is the numbers should double every 48-72 hours but there are always exceptions. Just visualize your embaby snuggled in and growing.

I think with ivf, the beta numbers can do some wonky things. My numbers initially did not double, but I had a fine, uneventful pregnancy (except for the constant worry, but that was just me.) Best of luck to you!

Hang in there. My beta's are almost the same as yours. I have no idea what is going to happen, but do not lose hope - anything is possible, and my re is remaining hopeful b/c she says she has seen so many different #'s fo betas that predictions are useless!

my 3rd is today.....good luck on Thursday. The waiting is TORTURE isn't it?

We are very similar. The only good thing about yours is that your doubling time is getting shorter. Mine is getting longer so I dont think there is much hope for me. Hang in there, I think you will be fine! I am also in Ohio...where are you located?

Thank u for your support. I'm in canton ohio. Have any of you had tearing ligament pain? Whenever I get out of bed it hurts!

I'm not trying to be a debbie downer or to scare you but and ectopic doesn't have to be in your tubes only. My re said that ectopic's can happen even if you don't have tubes. that the baby can implant in other places too. I'm sure this is not your case I just thought I would throw that out there. Hi Donna - I got the call and it went up to 198!! It more than doubled. I am now 16dp3dt....so I am really really close to you.

It is still lower than alot of other ladies, but I just keep telling myself that I have a late bloomer!!!

I hope you get a great number tomorrow. I will crossed for you.

I am so excited for you. I hope I am next to get good news. I was getting positive pregnancy tests 7 days past a 3 day transfer, do I have had more then one implant and then one stop? Did your doc say if that was a possibility for you? I am so nervous. But I have encouragement because of you.

From what I've heard it needs to double in 2-3 days so you could be totally fine going by the longer time frame.

She did not say anything about how many may have implanted. What she did say was that she has seen so many different numbers, that you just never know. She said she had a patient who's beta was increasing but very slowly, and not doubling....and she just released her to her OB! I think if we got pregnant "naturally" we would have no idea what a beta was - and it would just be pregnant or not!

But us IVF'ers worry about every number, when sometimes those numbers mean nothing. Another example is my E2 before ER. My RE was baffled b/c my E2 was not rising...in fact is was very low. She thought we might get 6 eggs. Turns out we got 13 and 12 were mature. It seems my body is just wacky with stuff...so I am using that as my mantra......my body is just "different"

I had similar numbers and when I asked the doc to be honest she said "Stay optimistic but be realistic..." I will send you big prayers and big hugs. I have heard in some small cases the numbers get on track and all goes well. I will stay optimistic that your BFP stays!
