Hello!

Hi everybody! I am in the process of selecting a new RE. My last RE had NO LUCK with women age 41-42. So, I am consulting with CCRM and Cornell. I am leaning towards CCRM purely because of their numbers. I am a SAHM, so I do not have to worry about work. And, my mother volunteered to babysit Isabella while I cycle.

Btw, I did conceive with Isabella on my first IVF w/ICSI.

Lots of eggies to all those scheduled for ER and

Hi Kay!

ER day is tentative, we'll know next week sometime.

Did you see on the news about that lady with quintuplets? They say she is a single mother of six that went through infertility treatment and doctor put 8 eggs in her. Do you believe it? I'm still perplexed, how was that possible? In my clinic even if you are over 35 you get only 3 eggs at one time.

I did see the news about her... it isn't quints it is octuplets. It is a mystery to me how this could happen with IVF. Sounds like an irresponsible dr to me.
about the news for your ER.

I'm still suffering with the cold. It has been nice though taking a couple of quiet days at home.
I conceived Clara last Feb and she was born 5 weeks early in Oct. Oct is a good month... before all the holidays.

First IVF (child mentioned)

Hello all!
I am smack in the middle of a long Lupron protocol...and let's just say this whole thing is a testament to my desire for my son to have a sibling. I have had a rough time w/ the meds ~ "extreme" side effects (docs words). So glad this board exists; I am 43 and most of my friends are done w/ the baby gig so support is hard to come by in the real world.
Started stim meds today, thank God, wish me luck!!

good morning and thanks for the welcome!

cougareggs, I LOVE THAT NAME, LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck w/the stims and keep your eye on the prize, it's what gets me through it.

I hope we all get our BFP's this year and 2009 is one to remember.

sveta, I hope this is the best Valentine's day for you and you get lots of eggs!!! I am going alone for the 1 day w/u. Thanks so much for the belated bday wish, so thoughtful!

aliona69, when are you going to CCRM? Where do you live? I'm in NY.

Bella, did you get my PM? to the cougar club, lol.

Kay, I hope you are feeling better from the cold, and I REALLY hope that we can beat the odds together!

I've been up since 6am, too much on my mind!!!! I'm going to run out and do some shopping, like the old fart that I am, I'll probably bump into some senior citizens this early. Have a great day everyone.

Hi All-
Glad to join you! I think this is a great thread. I have often felt like I was one of the only ones of my age to be doing IVF. Glad to see that there are a few others here.

As you can see by mig sig. this is our 7th cycle. It took 6 to finally get pg with our DD who was born in June.
We are also trying for a sibling. Using the same exact protocol as last time...so hoping it will be 'one and done' this time around.

I wish all of you tons of !
