Hi everyone, you can add me to the list. I am 42 and currently in my 2ww period. I will be testing on 2/4.
I completed my IVF in January and this is my first fresh transfer.

I got 15 eggs, used a Microdose flare protocol.
14 Fertilized, 11 embies (7 great ones so I transfered 7).

Hoping for the best!

I was just wondering from someone else's post if CCRM has better numbers than Cornell, for some reason I thought the opposite. Just planning ahead in case I get a negative.

sveta, thanks for sharing the baby dust

aliona69, I think I will be going to CCRM for my cycle the first week of March.

junebug and thanks for the inspiration proving that persistance does pay off. I hope you strike gold on your 1st try for #2!

gmsherif, congrats and hang in there, I know how nervous you must be but at least you are over some hurdles.

42&ttc you got great numbers, wow 7, you know it's a lucky number! You can go to sart.org and look for both Cornell and CCRM
In 2006 I know for my old age group 43-44 year olds, Cornell had a 9.6% rate of live birth as compared to CCRM's of 22%. It's a long trip, but to me well worth it.

Our thread is growing and hopefully all of our tummies will be too!!!

Thanks 8kitts, I did look at SART but must have originally looked at my own age group 41-42. I will look at the numbers again.

I am one of those people who is always planning ahead with a backup plan. I am in my 2ww and already makes plans in case I turn up with a neg.

I totally agree that you should go where you stand the best chance of success. At least Colorado is a great place to be! I think that is one thing about us being older, we have to be the most aggressive (hence my 7 embryos) and we can't really afford to wait around and not seek out the best care . I am one to believe you should give everything your best shot and it sound like you are doing just that.

Best of luck to you!

As you can see by mig sig. this is our 7th cycle. It took 6 to finally get pg with our DD who was born in June.
We are also trying for a sibling. Using the same exact protocol as last time...so hoping it will be 'one and done' this time around.

I wish all of you tons of !

and congratulations on your June baby! You must have some secret to share of your success Did you work right after ET or took it easy for a wile? This is something I'm thinking about.

Anyway, wish you lots and lots of for #7.

Smile Hi everybody!

Thanks Aliona69 for good wishes. Yes, I think if numbing cream not too pricey I'll get it tomorrow, today I had to work longer.
Well, my b/w is good and u/s went fine too, so this Friday I'm starting stims in addition to Lupron and antibiotics. Feel dizzy sometimes, I guess they took too much blood out of me

Why did you have to be on BCP? We did not have to . Or and my Lupron is reduced to 5 ml on Friday. So far it's not bad. I'm a little worried about Gonal-F though. How will it affect me. Will I turn into loony hope not.

I'm all alone now

I'm fighting cold or some kind of virus today. Do
not know what to take for it. I'll have some honey before bad and see if it'll take...
Monday new b/w and new instruction, I feel like a Charlies angel( just waiting for the call)
And for some reason I feel a little *****y too.

P.S. I think I'm by myself. Pretty much like a blog, just broadcasting myself, but even that helps. Well ,wherever you all are I'm here waiting and wishing you all the best.

Hi all

Hi Everyone.

Just thought I would say Hi and good luck to us all. I am 39, well 40 @ the end of March and DH is 43 in May.

This is our last try. It is out 3rd round of IVF. You can see from my signature that we have 9 year old twins. They were the 11th IUI...a long time ago. We always wanted to try for more.

I am in the 2ww and have no idea one way or another if it has worked. I keep hoping for some miracle sign, but I know that I am kidding myself.

We have not told anyone, as our friends and family will/would think we are crazy!! But we had to give it one more shot.

This time we transfered 4. 2 were good and 2 not so much. I rested after the transfer, but probably not as much as I would have if the kids were not home for (what I consider) a fake snow day. We live in Charlotte and have had 2 this winter.

Right before the reterival my grandfather died, so that stress probably did not add to the cycle.

I am staying positive by thinking that this is really out of my control and all I can do is listen to the doctors and relax. I am doing my best. I don't think that I have sat around this much ever. I miss exercising and running errands, but I am taking the time this 2 weeks to be calm.

I wish you all !!!

Thanks for listening.

Jennifer

Hi Ladies. I'd like to join the group. I'm 39 and this is my 2nd IVF. You can see from my signature all I have gone through. DH and I will be married 5 years in September and have been trying for about 4 years. I'm hoping I get some good news tomorrow when I go for yet another set of b/w.

Jennifer to you. I hope this works for both of us this time.
