They dont say when it starts.

They did say, and I quote:

"We accept participants outside from New York. However, please be notified that for all 20-25 study visits, (including monitoring visits, procedures and follow up visits) participants must come to our clinic located in New York City. The study period may take from 6 to 9 months. "

I'm in Indiana. After I completed the online screening with medical history, ect, I received an email that said there was overwhelming response and that they were sorting through everyone as fast as they could to schedule the first appointment. They also gave me a list of things that me and dh will need to be tested for beforehand. The other two things it said was no FSH over 13 and at least 7 antral follies. I've never had a baseline U/S, so I am sooo nervous about that one.

We are up to 5:
Aidan's Mom
Lucy
Dittoxtina
Amy
Stephanie

It sounds like we are all still waiting on the same thing: our first appointments!!!!

That sounds like the one I got. Im confused as to whether we're supposed to wait for something else or get this stuff to them though. It does say to fax or email it to them, and they should have it before you come in.

It is very confusing (gosh I hope that's not a sign!), but I'm waiting to hear from them before I get everything else done.

Hi Steph! If I were you I would NOT wait around! I myself was kinda confused with that last email, i dont know if anyone else was, it almost seemed as if they were going to contact me soon, but then again it seemed like they were now waiting on me for more information. so anyways i decided to call them today and asked what the next step was, they said i need to fax them my medical records and test ( the ones they requested in the email) and then they said i need to call them as soon as i start my period to make an appointment 2 days later with them, then once im there thier going to give me a few mmore test, talk with me about the procedure, and then put me on birth control for 2 weeks then im going to start the injectables. i asked the guy " thats it? its that easy?" and he said yep and to call him anytime i have questions. so girls when you start you mentrual CALL THEM AND GET THAT APPOINTMENT!!!!! lol you dont want to have to wait till your NEXT cycle to start. i dont know about you guys but i have no patients left...i want to do this!!

I am in this trial

Hey all. I will make this short & sweet since this is from my phone. I just made my 3rd trip out to NY from Illlinois as I was accepted into this trial. They are comparing mini ivf to conventional. Read up on their website about dr Shang he & this clinic r really on the forefront of technology, it is a great clinic in upper manhattan. Ur 1st visit would b u/s and bloodwork. They would need all ivf screening tests sent (hiv hep b hep c etc) u also need 7 antral follicles on each side, not total. I'm not sure if they r still accepting new patients into the study or if they r full. 564 couples total & I was in the 200's & responded way back in the beginning of jan.

I wish u all the best of luck!!!

I am a patient at New Hope but currently on a break(my choosing). I hope you all 3 get in and for those of you who may need to travel there, I have some seriously huge tips for you from when I traveled there. It will save you a lot of frustration. Just send me an e-mail thru this forum and let me know. NYC is huge but I think this clinic is worth it, you will like it.. Good Luck.
