Anyone want to have a January BFP thread to allow us to transition over to the preggo forums? I am too scared to go over there, like I will jinx myself.

This 2ww is hard. I had really strong symptoms right around my BFP, then they faded for like 4 days, now today and yesterday, I feel like I got hit by a truck (sore bbs came back, nausea, etc). Isn't it sad that I welcome the feeling bad, just to reassure me that my betas must still be rising? What about you guys- how are you feeling? Congrats on your BFPs, btw!
Jen- I agree- naps are the best! Finally I have an excuse for napping! When are your USs?
Suz- your betas look great- how many do you think are in there?

yep...I know what you mean. I am happy to have pain. Such a sad state of affairs.

My us is on Monday the 23rd. I have found that mindlessly watching TV keeps my mind off things....which is really dangerous becuase I work at home!! anything to make the time pass. I know I mentioned this on the 2ww thread, but my mc was at the 10th week (they think the fetus actually died around 8 or 9wks) so I will be on pins and needles (basically a stressball) until then....but I am going to make it all the way this time!!!!

I will be demanding they listen for a heartbeat every time i go in....it turns out last time I was at the dr. once and the fetus had probably already died. Sucks having that sort of history to worry about.

Anyone else worried about anything?

Also...from what I understand, the HCG levels can vary greatly....my friend had over 1000 for her first beta and she only had one baby....conversely a friend of hers had a really low one and had twins..... its hard to really tell until they look inside.

I'm really worried about m/c too. I had a blighted ovum in September so never got to see a hb. I'll bet it would have been even worse if I had. I have a good feeling about this one for you Jen! The mc was just getting your body ready to carry your babie(s) for 9 months! I was just telling dh that if we are so lucky to make it to the OB from the RE that we need to find one who deals with IVF patients often. I mean some women barely have any ultrasounds their whole pregnancy! I need much more monitoring than that- I think you are totally right to ask them to check for hb often with your history.

I have no idea what is going on with my numbers. I would be thrilled if they were both still in there!! But, I really may freak out if one has split and I have triplets... I just don't know if my body can take that. But, I'm 5'11, so I am thinking if it is twins, I should be able to carry them fine?? I don't know. We are just praying for a baby and a healthy one at that.

But, I go in on Thursday for my real 'pregnancy test day' and they said they would do an ultrasound next week. It made me nervous when the nurse asked how many we transferred back when my numbers were high so early....

I still don't feel any different. I am just so tried, all the time. I went to bed at 9pm last night.

Every stage is so hard. Now it is going to kill me waiting for the heartbeat ultrasound. I just really want to jump to 3 months pregnant!

Hi Zappy- I also had a blighted ovum, exactly 3 years ago, almost the exact same schedule as this pregnancy, weird, I just noticed that. So I am worried too about that first u/s. I have no symptoms. I'm not telling anyone but my family about the BFP until everything looks good.

This waiting and waiting and waiting is driving me crazy!

I just posted this on 2ww too....I just got my beta back and it didn't double, it was 9 points short. They want a second beta next tuesday.....I have to wait ANOTHER 6 days! This is killing me. I am thinking of going in on Friday to calm my nerves......

Jencat- as long as it was close, it should be ok. Remember there's probably a 10% error in the test alone. My chemical went from 61 to 4 days later to 68...

I've just noticed this thread and it looks like a perfect place for somebody like me because I am not in the 2ww anymore and don't feel ready to join the preggies club yet.

Since my BFP, I don't feel like I am getting enough support at the 2ww thread and I totally understand why - everybody is worrying about their 1st Beta and I already got 2 good Betas so why complain?

I am scheduled for an u/s on Monday the 9th. I am terrified to hear the scariest two words in the world - blighted ovum. I had it in 2006. I am hoping this time it won't happen to us

I keep telling my DH "I wish it was the end of March"

Jen, I just posted on the 2ww thread that your 2nd Beta is perfect and you have nothing to worry about. Beta is supposed to double in 2 days and yours almost doubled in just 1 day!

Hi girls, I think I will be joining you all here. I go for my 2nd beta tomorrow and the nurse said as long as my beta doubled and my progesterone rises, I start my weekly us next week! what may I ask is a blighted ovum (sp)???? Is this something I should not be worried about? I have absolutely no symptoms and that worries me, I am terrifed of a miscarrage! Any advice?

Thanks for noticing I typed in the wrong day....it was a 48 hour beta, but what my acupuncturist pointed out it is supposed to double in 48-72 hours, so I should be just fine (it would have been a nice piece of info for the nurse to point out?!!??!?)
