I am with you have been counting down to my appointment.(now only two weeks away) I am not sure what to expect that first consult. Do you guys know-- will there be a physical exam that day and will I find out my exact meds that day or will I have to wait?

April me 33 no known problems dh 32 azoospermia .bw & ultrasound for suppression check 7/1/09 e2 is 42 .Stims will start 7/04/09 225 bravelle ,75 menopur plus start baby aspirin .bloodwork 7/6/09 e2 is 41!!!! 300 bravelle and 75 menopur tonight .up dose 7/7 & 7/8 to 150 Bravelle with 75 menopur twice daily now .7/9 e2 373 prog 1.0 9 follicles on rt & 6 on left lining 5.1 300 Bravelle & 75 Menopur 7/9 & 7/10 .7/11 e2 766 prog 0.4 11 follices on rt & 6 on left lining 7.3 300 Bravelle & 75 Menopur on 7/11 then drop to 225 Bravelle & 75 Menopur on 7/12 .7/13 e2 1372 prog 0.6 14 follicles on rt & 6 on left 225 Bravelle & 75 Menopur .7/14 e2 2100 prog 0.7 .7/16 er 8 eggs 5 icsi'd 3 fert .7/21 et 2 blasts 1 4bc & 1 3cb 3rd one didnt make it to freeze .beta 151 7/31,beta 391 8/3, beta 636 8/5,beta 1515 8/11,beta 3117 8/13  Make a pregnancy ticker

Thanks for the welcome AlliJ!! I am trying not to watch the calander too much this time as I was devistated every time my dates would change last time (They changed 3 times!). It is very easy for this process to become the center of our lives though so easier said than done!!
April - what they do at the first consult will depend on the doctor but I can tell you that all 3 RE's I have been to have discussed the process as well as what testing would be required prior to starting. They also reviewed sample calanders and gave me scripts for the required blood draws. I didn't find out my exact meds until the month before. I am hoping RE #4 that I will go to on May 4th uses some of the same meds I used before as I have about $2500 worth sitting in my closet! Glad to hear there are some others out there trying to drop a few before starting. I gained 20 lbs in 1.5 months when I was on BC and Lupron before. It only took me a month to lose it so it must have been water weight or something but I figure I better be under where I think a good starting pregnancy weight is!

I just wanted to wish you all good luck with your upcoming cycles. I am also counting down the days until we can start again. I am hoping to also start my next cycle in july as long as
 arrives when its suposed to.My first visit they also just wet over the meds and did an ultrasound and bloodwork as a base. They told me to call when AF arrived.

I found a local church which holds classes for $2 a visit. Bootcamp on Mondays and Thursdays and cardio on Tuesdays. Yesterday was my first day but when I told one of the ladies there I wanted to lose 16 pounds she took a very serious tone and replied " This is the class to do it " lol. It changes up each class but this yesterday we did cardio and ran for 50 minutes (and walked when I thought I might drop dead hehe) and then did 50 crunches. Luckily it is about 8 minutes from home. I am crossing my fingers if I go 3 times a week and eat reasonably it can be accomplished in 11 weeks

Me!! :)
I'm in July - Yipppeeeee!!! Right after a trip to Greece in June...ahhhhhhh
 I've been trying to conceive for 13 months. I was pregnant for a very short time in September '08 but sadly lost the pregnancy (the most physically painful thing I've been through - I had a cyst burst and a miscarriage at the same time). We've done all our tests except hubby has one more sperm test to determine whether is is IVF or ICSI. I have very mild blockage in one tube and hubby's sperm count is on the lower side of normal - but I'm 38. We've been trying so long we are getting so sad and frustrated. We figure we have one more shot here this month for it to happen naturally - cross your fingers because I am in Canada and it's $10K and none of it is covered. Jessica - I see you are in Canada as well? I am in BC. I look forward to going through this with you girls and wish everyone the best of luck and all the baby dust I can toss!

 Hi laddies ! Nice to see this thread moving I guess the closer we get to July the more of us we will pick up ! Well I have my appt. on July 13th but AF is starting to show up around the 10-13th I was thinking about moving my appt. up to the 1st week of July so I'll still beable to start my meds For Julys cycle ! What do all of you sugest ! I just lost my brother in law he killed him self and DH is taking it realy hard ! DH is a realy privet man and is hard to console ! Any sugestions ??

Brooklyn - Greece sounds great not sure if youve been before or if this your first trip but my husband and I went to Athens for our honeymoon and I loved it. It was beautiful and historic and amazing. We want to go back on our 5th year anniversary.
Cathie- I am so sorry to hear about your loss My husband is real private as well when he is grieving. I would suggest just to be there as best you can to comfort him so he knows if he needs anything he can turn to you.I do my best to sort of silently be near and close to him.I hope you and your family are able to get past this and find peace with his decision.

Cathie - I am so sorry to hear about your brother-in-law and your niece. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family especially his son and your husband.
I agree with xaaf76x, silently be there for your husband. It is in the little things that you do that he will appreciate more than trying to force him to open up. I have learned this by experience.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Phoebe and my husband and I have been TTC for 13 months. I am ok, but have a slightly high thyriod and my husband has extremely low sperm count due to a hernia that he had years ago. Apparently the hernia damaged one of the tubes. However I had my first docotrs appointment the other day and now we have a time line  . I am excited, nervous and scared of the whole IVF process. Our Time Line: Call Day 1 of your May period- blood work on Day 3 to check your hormone levels.
Call Day 1 of your June period- blood work on Day 3 to check your hormone levels and will start the birth control pills then. 7/2- start lupron injections 7/6- take your last birth control pill. 7/13- Come to the office for blood work and an ultrasound and you will start your follistim and low dose hcg ( the meds that make your eggs grow) that night. 7/22- 27- will be the likely range for your your egg retrieval.. the embryo transfer will be 3 or 5 days following the egg retrieval based on # of embryos that you have. I will be here with you guys to talk about the IVF experiences that we will all go through. So count me in to be here

Xaa - I've been to Greece once many years ago. We are flying into Athens then flying down to Santorini and will ferry our way back up - island hopping along the way. My doctor said I do have time to do my IVF cycle before we go but we discussed it and decided to wait. I hope that decision was okay - I'm turning 39 in October.
Phoebe, I adore your dog! I have two boxers myself - one is 5 and one is 8. I love them to bits!
