Starbucks Apple Cider is yummy, I'm not sure who was saying it, but I think is April. Short story yesterday I went to my gf house & she made apple cider (she's working at starbucks), it was sooo yummy. This morning I went to starbucks & tried the one from them, it was the same as my gf cider. I asked her the recipe, this the recipe if anyone intrested: treetop premium apple juice, starbucks cinnamon syrup (sold at starbucks) wip cream & starbucks caramel sauce. Blend apple juice with cinnamon syrup, warm it. Top it with wip cream and caramel sauce.

I called them, but the front desk is "away." I will try again in a few minutes. I doubt they will have it since it hasn't been 3 horus yet. FYI: I went to an outside lab near my home for beta. The man said the results will go to my RE in 3 hours.

I think you all are more anxious to here the results than I am! LOL.

Time for an update

Hey ladies (and our few gents). I was just thinking about posting an update, and here is our dear old July thread, just popped up onto the first page like it was just waiting for me.

After the failed July cycle, I kinda went a bit dark. I left my job, secured a new one and got to take 7 glorious weeks off in between. What we learned from our IVF cycle is that IVF is not going to work for us. My body produces an insane number of eggs but the quality is poor. The RE thinks the poor quality is a result of the stimulation and not just age issues so we decided to do a low tech IUI with very minimal doses of GonalF. We were going to shoot (no pun intended) for September but if it worked, I would be 8 weeks on my start date (which was Oct 26th) so we sat out and gave it a whirl in October.

I haven't talked to anyone about what we were doing. Not a girlfriend or a family member or even you guys. I just felt like talking about it made me more anxious and I didn't want to jinx anything. This was going to be our very last try since time is not on our side. At our age, you have to eventually call it a day and move on.

You guys might remember that I am anti-POAS. I didn't test, I didn't talk about it. Hell, half the time, I managed to not even think about it. My beta is scheduled for tomorrow and I am not really feeling much of anything. I assume that it just didn't work. I told DH that I am skipping the beta and waiting for AF but then, I thought, if I am going to skip beta, I should at least do a test so i can tell my RE why I am not taking the blood test.

Know what? The darn thing came up positive so I will take the blood test tomorrow after all. I know all the things that can go wrong so I am not getting too excited about it but hey, this is an important first step, no? Now we need to see the numbers do the right thing. I'll keep you posted.

Bad news...

Well, not that kind of bad! I know I'm horrible! Sorry!

The front desk said that the nurses will start recieving beta numbers at 1ish and will start calling after that. WTH! I will keep calling at 1pm to bug them. It is a busy clinic...

Justonemore, SO so good to see you. Glad you popped on to give an update...and what an update it is. That's quite a story. I'm not going to get all excited for you (not to say that I wouldn't like to) but I will be thinking of you and hope your bloodtest goes well tomorrow. Also, I can't blame you for being MIA and taking a total and complete break. To be honest, I contemplated that myself after losing this last pregnancy...and maybe I should have. A break is probably healthy. Anyway, like I said, I'm glad you popped on to give us an update. We've been wondering about our fellow July IVFers. Would love to hear your beta tomorrow.
