Kirstenlahti - Too funny!!! I am glad you trust your guy...I wouldn't trust mine to cut my finger nail. He is such a jokester and we are the best of friends and I love him with everything in me, but it is not going to happen. He would get too much pleasure out of it. I am sorry to hear about your dog, Cujo. (That movie was awesome!) BTW, I love your daughter's name...Its Beautiful!

Maggiemay!!!! Glad to have you along!!

Smile Hi!

Allijbutler - Thanks about Sienna's name and about Cujo. Its so hard to let them go - but we just keep remembering the good and do our best to give them the best life possible while they are here. Still does not make it easier sometimes though.

About 8-10 months ago Sienna really started to understand her name and that she was Sienna Rain (they call her that a lot at daycare where as we just call her Sienna!). So I asked her if we had another baby what we should name it -and she looked at me like I was an idiot and said "Sienna Rain!". After I got done laughing I told her that would be a bit confusing... but she was already off to something else. I am sure thinking already at 2 that her mother is an idiot! Its only just begun - right!

And I am not sure I trusted my DH all that much...I was a bit worried he would be all to happy to use that bigger needle for the trigger shot - but it turned out well. I will still do all of them in the next cycle that I can by myself though....Only the backside shots will he be allowed to help with.

Angie056 and Mabelina - I am in MI too! I live in Waterford and I am seeing a doc in Warren.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Girls - this is a holiday - relax, enjoy the hopefully good weather - and just have a good time! This is the weekend of no worries - just relax and take care of yourselves - all the worries and problems will be there Tuesday when its time to get back to real life again!

Hi all!! This thread is picking up nicely. I guess that means we are getting close!

Kirsten - Happy to hear there is another MI girl!! Too funny about Sienna and her wanting the same name for the next baby! I told my daughter Laci that I was going to call the next baby Laci too and she definately wasn't going for it!

AlliJ - You crack me up! Love the RJ ER story! I just started taking it 3 days ago. I figure its worth a shot for 30 bucks. You are lucky to have your sisters so close to do the shots! My hubby is pretty good at it so I guess I can't complain. I pass out from the sight of needles sometimes so he has to do them!

Mabelina - Have fun camping!! Very exciting that you are getting your meds. I am thinking about calling to ask about getting Progesterone suppositories cause I don't think I can handle daily PIO shots!

Cathie - sorry to hear about your potential Galbladder issue. Hope all turns out well!

Everyone have a great weekend! I can't wait for this work day to end. I am going to plant some Veggies for the first time in my life!!

jmom - How is that Royal Jelly working for you? I ordered it from the Vitaminshoppe after reading a few post and I took a 4th of a teaspoon (I am allergic to bee stings however I was stung last summer and did not have a reaction so I thought I might give it a try) and as soon as I swallowed the RJ/BP my lips started tingling and I was hyperventilating. My husband was standing next to me laughing because he says I will try anything. So I make him rush me to the hospital thinking that this is it, and as soon as we turn out of our subdivision, my mom called to ask me about something (I was not about to tell her about my ridiculousness) and I was talking to her as if nothing was wrong. Breathing was fine, the lips weren't tingling or anything. My husband pulled into the gas station after I hung up with my mom and said I am going to run in here to get a sprite, do you want anything? I said maybe some benedryl and a coke or something...I think I am ok. He just shook his head at me and walked off. So needless to say we didn't make it to the ER. He thinks I am the biggest Hypochondriac on the face of the earth. So now my RJ/BP is sitting at the top or my pantry waiting. I have an appointment with my allergist on this coming Thursday to see if I can officially start that regimen.

xaaf67x - Did you get your calendar yet?

Jeepgirl - I am sorry to hear that you are going to be postponed. But it gives you more time to prepare for what's to come. That is the way that I think about it. We are actually being postponed by a few weeks at first I was a little dismayed then I thought about it and it really isnt that bad. At least it is not a NO DEAL. So what is a few more weeks/months....we have waited this long, right?!

Cathie - How was Star Trek? My mother is a huge fan. Me, not so much, but I heard that it wasn't all sci-fi-y and whatnot. So I would love to hear what you though about it.

Mabelina01- Congratulations on the car sale! Sounds like you are ready to go!!

Is anyone else going to Injection Training? I have to set my appointment for the first week of June. Kind of nervous, I don't trust my husband with sticking me with anything. He already showed me his technique and how he is going to "jab" me with the needle and I don't like it. It looked painful as he was making a stabbing motion in the air. He is a big kid. Lucky for me, both of my older sisters live in the same subdivision as we do and I could just walk (or drive) to either one of their houses to administer the drugs.

I liked this startrek it had romance and adventure in it to I did like this one better than the older ones ! Even spock got so love from a human ! lol!

Hi ladies!

I originally posted on the june board when I found out we are moving on to IVF but due to lab shutdown I won't have transfer until the first week of july probably. I will be on extended lupron starting on the 21st but will take for a few weeks before stimming (thank you again lab shutdown!). I guess at least everything will be nice and clean for my embies!

Good luck to everyone!

I am sorry about your b/w results Cathie. Have faith Im sure it will all work out for you. Did you get the results from the retest already? Thats alot of stuff at once maybe was a lab error in the machine.

I have been taking royal jelly but bought a capsule from GNC for $14.00 is the liquid stuff better?

I went in Thursday to the RE for the trial transfer. He did that np said all was perfect and easy. He then informed me I needed the saline sono which had not been mentioned before. It was not "painful" in a hurting sort of way just uncomfortable and like a real bad cramp. All tested fine though no polyps and he said I am extremely fertile. He also told me my cervix was designed for labor and that my ob should not go out to dinner when I go into labor as I will have a quick one. I thought sounded great at the time but the more I had time to reflect am a little paranoid now by what he meant and if I should worry about early dilating or not. I didn't get my schedule yet but will soon. He said just couldnt predict exactly yet but he expects I will start stims around 4th of July weekend and gave me a refill of the bcp and also a script for prescription prenatal vitamins to start.

Hope everyone is having a great long weekend!

I am enjoying my weekend but I am very unhappy that AF has decided to be late this month especially since my cycle is usually like clockwork. I am only two days late but that's 2 more days I have to wait before starting suppression! Of all the months!!! Hopefully tomorrow is the day....

Smile Other places to buy meds

Have any of you bought your meds from people selling them online? I have looked into this a bit - and it looks like it could work? There are a ton of people advertising left over drugs. I know there are always scammers out there - but I think for the most part people are good. I know we get a lot of bad news on the Internet now a days - but we do not hear about the good stuff as much as we hear about the bad. And god knows we are all spending a lot of money on this treatment - so it is natural to want to recoup it if you can.

People selling unopened, unexpired left over drugs for way cheaper than US pharmacies and Overseas pharmiacines. I have seen it s about $20 a vial for Bravelle and Menopur - and about $250/$275 per GonalF pen (900IU).

And they either met you in person so you can inspect the packaging and exp date or ship FEDEX COD so you can do the same before you hand over the money.

My doc said I could get drugs from a person I know who had left over as long as they were not expired. She basically did not care where I got the drugs as long as they were not expired or open - so that means overseas or from people I know I guess. I did not ask about others advertising because I did not know it existed until this weekend and I started doing research online.

I have talked to a few women in person who got their drugs this way due to costs and got prego (the owner of my daycare for Sienna did this- that was one person!)and had babies. So I was wondering if anyone else had heard of it or done it?

Thanks

Kirsten

Sounds like we are on close to the same schedule Jennifer. I won't get my calendar until June 8th or so but anticipate a July 14th retrieval date if my calculations are correct. Good for you that your insurance is going to cover it too. I am glad for you

child ment.

Greetings July Ladies....

Just wanted to give you my schedule.
I'm on Birth control now. I will start Lupron June 9. I'll be on it a little longer because I'm an out of town patient. Start Stims June 26 and then the estimated retrieval date is July 8th.

I'm praying that everything goes smoothly. So nervous cause this is our first IVF. We have a 2 year old that we conceived through IUI. But after 6 IUI's this time we realized that it was time for IVF. We are self pay, so I'm praying tons that this ivf is a success. We are male factor.

We live in Georgia, but my son and I will head to Indiana the end of June to start IVF. It was almost 10K cheaper there and all my family lives there. So we'll be staying with my mom and dad during my ivf cycle. then DH will come up for the week of retrieval and transfer. I'll be doing most of the shots myself, but the HSG and POI my sister will do for me cause she is a nurse.

That is our story. I'm glad, excited, and scared to get started, but it is good to be a part of this thread and have some support!

Smile Welcome

aidan's mom. Good luck to you! It sounds like you have a good support system with your family!

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Me -38 - endo, myomectomy, unexplained IF
DH - 38 - normal everything ( relative to baby making!)

Have one beautiful daughter, Sienna Rain, 2.5 years old - conceived naturally

Our furbabies - 2 dogs and 5 cats

TTC since 12/06 (basically 3 months after Sienna born)
Tried Clomid cycles - early spring and summer 08
Tried Clomid / Gonal F cycle Nov 08
Waited to take more action until after 1/09 because of starting new insurance plan

Me - bariatric surgery 01, lapro surgeries for endo - 5 of them, myomectomy, csection, tummy tuck, and obstructed bowel 3-08 - so a lot of opening to my abdominal cavity - I am very prone to adhesions - so doc thinks (without proving it = surgery) the baby parts could be out of alignment and eggs are never meeting the sperm normally

So, IVF is our best option at this time to make sure the needed parts meet up and get where they need to be

IVF #1
Stims in April 09
May 5-7 estimated ER
Converted to IUI at end due to low follicle count
IUI =

IVF #2
July 09 or Possibly Sep 09
May 20 2009 started BCP and Letrozol
